MVS coin lamps- 12 volts?

My coin lamps were dead when I got the cabinet. I replaced them, and they were incredibly bright, and burned out rather quickly. I measured it at 12.6V, is that right? Seems kinda high...

I haven't actually looked at the wiring yet.

If you feel they are too intense could always put a voltage drop series resistor in there, that would also increase the reliability.

If they are too intense then put a lower current draw bulb in place of the #161 bulb. They will put out less light (and heat too!)

If you can source them (with the same socket arrangement), the standard is 2W afaik. Dropping the voltage may be more convienient.
