Well today I got my cps2 Aboard + SSF2X Board, when I checked it it worked fine, but now 5h later I only get a messed up picture:

Would someone please be so kind to tell what's the problem and how to solve it?

bad contact between A and B board. plug the B board out and back in, clean the contacts, etc.

Yep that sure looks familiar..Arakon's right. Sometimes you REALLY gotta push them boards together or you'll get vertical lines on the screen...I bought a brand new A board from Capcom, and I still have to press the boards together pretty firmly.

Yes, its bad contact between A and B board.
Get some Capcom CPS2 clips to hold them firmly together, they lock them(A + B boards) firmly together at the side.
It reallys help.

Thx, it is working now, even thou I had to press it manually together, because the clips did not help that much.

Where can I get those?
Yea, I'd like to know where to get just the clips as well.

I've also been having a similar problem with my CPS2 stuff. On Sunday, I had some cousins over, and they wanted to play some SSF2x and X-Men vs SF. I connected XvSF while it was sitting on top of the supernova, and it either wouldn't work, or I would get the vertical lines in the screen. When I took the A+B boards to the other side of the room and connected them, and then brought it back to the supernova, it worked fine. spock

I tried that with all my B boards, and the same thing happened every time.

Anyone know what is causing this?

Man Alien Vs Predator is one of my all time faves. Enjoy, and yeah make sure to change that maxell battery very soon as it may not last much longer as MKL has hinted at! Also for those looking for CPS-2 extras, such as the clips, board legs or Aux harnesses, get on to Mike Druss at MDGameSales!! :D

If you still have the problem, remove the plastic case of the b board, and try with the Pcboard only.
I have the same problem with an orange board.

Yes, that's the best way to do it. I mean, the plastic cases are nice and all but with the bare PCBs you can plug them all the way in easily and securely. Also, without the case you'll have better ventilation, esp. inside a cabinet.
