What are the pros and cons of both bios? Which one do you think is better and why?

I just purchased a MVS and wantt o install bios but I do not know which one I should get.
The 4x bios is pretty popular around here but I also found a few posts about this Unverse Bios.

So which one should I go for?

Get the Razoola Universal BIOS. I've had both the 4x and the Razoola BIOS and they just don't compare. The Universal BIOS has so many more features it's not even funny. And it's more compatible as if you have the 4X Bios you can't use games like KOF2k and other later games with it in AES mode. Plus you have to use hardware switches to select the region and setting (MVS or AES). The Universal BIOS is all software setup AND if a game doesn't have a pause in AES mode then you can use the 1P Start+Select menu to act as a pause in game, it's great. :D

Razoola looks like you got yourself a new customer... I'll just wait to exchange my 1 slot for a 4 slot and then mod the latest :)

Thanks all

I had a 4 x bios for a while too, and although it was good for the time, once the uni-bios came out I've used that ever since.

The Uni-Bios is better. The 4X was put to rest once the Uni-Bios came out.

How hard is it to install the Uni-bios?
Can you pull out an EPROM? Then you can install the Uni-bios. It's a simple EPROM swap.

Providing your bios is socketed (and almost all MVS' have socketed bios'), you simply pull the old one out and then plug the new one in. Couldn't be any easier :)
