Right now there's a Twin Eagle PCB up on eBay that the seller says boots to an "ERROR COIN RAM" screen. Does anyone here know what it would take to fix that (assuming it's the only problem)? If I could get it cheap, it might just be worth fixing.

It could be bad ram chip, bad traces on the board, other bad components. Best way to find out is to see it in person to inspect for bad traces, components that are obviously no good/oozing, etc , unless you can get the seller to take some close up pics of the board.

cheers and luck,

I found that same PCB on ebay, besides the Coin Ram Error, seller notes there is no sound also. Sounds like might it be worth it, but it may be more work for you in the end.

I read that as him saying he couldn't say the sound works because he had no way to test it. Either way, I think I'm just going to pass on this one. It's not like it's that rare of a board.
