Up for sale is a gem of a PC Engine package. This is my best friend's personal collection he's had for years and I'm sellng it for him on the forums. You'll be hard pressed to find a better collection. If you're looking to get into the PC Engine/Turbo Grafx scene, this is the way to go. Here's a few things you should know:

- Package has been broken up. All items are being sold individually but items can be bought and shipped together.
- Everything is in great condition unless otherwise noted.
- Prices do not include shipping.
- Package can be shipped out or picked up if you're around the Springfield, MO area.

  • Region-Modded and S-Video-Modded PC Engine Duo-R w/Violet LED

    This is the ultimate PC Engine! A PC Engine Duo-R that has been region modded so you can play both US and Japanese HuCards (and of course CDs and SCDs) without the need for an external adapter. System outputs beautifully colorful s-video through D-Lite's hand-built encoder with gold plated s-video and A/V outputs. Also installed are two violet LEDs in the center lens on the system that indicate the power is on. As we've seen lately, D-Lite isn't around as much so these modded PC Engines are getting harder and harder to find. Excellent overall cosmetic shape (has been thoroughly cleaned as well). Included are two controllers. The first one is a fully functional original Duo-R controller and is still quite white. The second pad is a Avenue Pad 6 that works flawlessly. Comes with original AC adapter and new 12' S-Video/stereo cables.

You won't find a better price for all these items. Buying each item alone would cost you at least $200 in shipping alone.

Is this price really unfair? It seems reasonable to me. Especially considering everything you're getting.

Yeah, honestly, it seems way off. That's a very nice modded Duo-R, and of course Drac X is worth its chunk...but then there's a truckload of really common stuff, some of which is incomplete. I could see like $450 for the unit and Drac X, but then the rest of that stuff doesnt add up to anywhere near another $450.

Unless your friend is KPJ.

Well, he paid $375 for the modded PC Engine from D-Lite and $175 for Dracula X. That added up by itself is $550, but he's not charging that much for just the system and Dracula X. Then there's a ton of rare games in the lot if you look at it. Games like Liquid Kids, Batman, City Hunter, Legendary Axe 2, Air Zonk, and a few others add to the total bigtime. Plus the smaller $5 games add up over the long run. I totalled up what you would pay if you bought this all off of ebay and it was around $1,050 before shipping. I imagine it would be around $1,250 for everything with seperate shipping. That's why $900 sounded fair.

What sounds like a fair price to you? $850? $800?

$175 sounds way on the high side to me for Drac-X. Can't it be found for $100-140?
Feh...like I said, I thought it sounded high for the package overall. I mean, you can't bundle a bunch of stuff like that, and then base a big chunk of the price on the high side of Ebay value. That's just my 0.02. If you get it for your buddy, rawk the house.
Wanting that much is just gonna require some patience, and I think that's why this thread was giving off the old cricket chirps.

Cool, I hear ya. The games were all priced on the medium to low side of ebay auctions. I just know he paid quite a bit for all of it so that's why it's that much. Thanks for the input. It's much appreciated.

Who was the buyer and when? I can look back but I don't remember selling them at $375 unless it was boxed and minty new. You can see on my webpage that it's been $350 shipped for a boxed one for a while now.

Some really nice games in that package. You say the Drac X is complete. Including spine and registration card? If so that makes it worth a very nice chunk o'change.

It was for a friend of mine Erik Neal. It might have been $350 or $375. I know it was at least $350.

Yep, the Dracula X is complete with all papers and such. It's sad to see it go. This nice package just had to come around the same time as when I was saving up money for my wife and I's anniversary. Gotta love bad timing. :D

A complete Dracula X with spine and registration card can easily get $175 or more so that's nice. I didn't notice any mention, but are you considering breaking up the stuff? It'd be easier to move that way. Good luck!

Yea, I had talked to my friend about that, but I figured we try and get it all out as a package first. We might have better luck breaking things up. It's sad though, it's like breaking a family up.:crying:

Are the hucards US or JPN? I'm guessing from the titles that most of these are the US versions.

Most of them are, but games like City Hunter, Batman, Liquid Kids, and a few others are Japanese.
