ques about Dreamcast, RGB, and imports

So I've been using the Utopia bootloader to play imports on my Dreamcast and it's been working fine. Recently though I got a VGA box and I discovered that the bootloader won't work with it. I tried a couple different methods like switching inputs after the bootloader loads, but nothing worked. Is it possible to get the two working or do I just need to mod my Dreamcast to play imports?

Well no response from here, but doing some more hunting and it looks like there's a vga patch for the Utopia bootloader that gives a workaround for the problem. Involves loading up the game blind and all, but it apparently works. Here's a link to it, but I haven't tried it yet.
