Hi everybody,

I own a Super Neo 29" Cabinet. Yesterday I got a Virtua Fighter 3 PCB (jammatized, Mdoel 3 Step 1.0 - MidRes).
As I connected the board to the cabinet the monitor showed a "ghostly" picture. The game was displayed three times in thin vertikal lines and all the colors looked foggy.

I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the resolution of my monitor. How would I switch the res ? Is it done automatically or by any jumper/ button ?

I must add that all other (low res) games work well. Beside I tried to run the game on a vga-monitor (the converter has a vga-output) but with the same result as on the cab.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Having all that fine stuff here but being unable to play makes me mad.

Take care,
Kim (Germany)

Meanwhile I found out, the Super Neo 29" has got a Hitachi-monitor inside (Type:A68lFP227X; SerNo.: 70500672). Could this be of any help ?
I've already mailed to Hitachi but I'm not too faithful in an answer.

hello,
the monitor in your cab will only run low-rez games. medium rez is different than vga, so that is probably why its not working on a computer monitor.

On many sega boards there is a bank of 4 dip-switches on the front. Flip the first one up, and power it on and you should have it set to low rez.

Hi Neo,

thanks for the hint. I'll try it tomorrow.

Beside I found out, that the cab. has a plug on the monitor-board saying "15k" and a empty plug saying "24k". That may be the answer. It was all just covered beneath dirt in there.
