I really hope since FFS turned out so nice all they have to do is change the art and dump the roms for these games. I hope we get them in the next year....

This is this biggest news I have read all year and yet I see a thread with only six other people celebrating :(

Is there another forum with a bigger celebration?

I think we are all excited but we also know that SNKP is not the speediest company. It took almost 2 years from that playble TGS demo of FFS on XBL before we got it. WTF.

It really shouldn't take that long since the emulation coding has already been done with FFS.

I bet the comp will be pre-1990 SNK so it'd include some Ikari Warriors or those games. Let's hope for Athena and Iron Tank.

Samurai II will be awesome on live. Game still plays as fresh today as it did in 1994.

Just picked up a copy of Iron tank the other day. I've been waiting for a rainy afternoon when I can dig out and hook up the old Famiclone and try it out.

I've been holding off dl'ing Fatal Fury Special 'cause I don't have a joystick yet, but Samurai is a game I can easily play even on the 360 pad, so I'm definitely getting this as soon as it comes out.

And yeah, you're right, it's still an awesome awesome game.

I have to say, I couldn't give a shite about SNK/playmore ports of Neo Geo games.....
As far as I am concerned SNK/playmore are ruining the legacy of Neo Geo far more than NGF did.

Right...have you played Special on live? It is the original rom, running on an emulator. thats it. And a damn fine emu at that. If you reboot the game through the bios (the universe bios they stole and copied directly into the game btw) you get the original start up and all dip options. So, what "ports" are you speaking of? If a new generation of gamers actually get to play these stellar games, and age old Neo fans like myself get some more competition than the CPU, why complain? That day of elitism is kinda over man :rolleyes:
