Double Dragon doesn't suck

This game came with my cab, and I actually like it. I thought this was going to be a piece of crap (like the movie), but it is pretty fun. Not even close to being the best fighter, but a nice surprise.

Its a pretty fun game, anyone else agree?

Considering what other fighters I had to play at the time, I didn't have much of a choice but to play Double Dragon. I wasn't disappointed though. Far better than I thought it would be.

Amon was the man in that game. His DM where he hops on the opponent's head and lays bombs in a circle around him, while chanting ancient ninja shit is pretty sweet. Also love his stage. Where do you see a stage like that?

That reminds me - Kang from Rage of the Dragons = Bluno (can't remember his real name, only remember what the annoucer says - audio memory is stronger than visual)

I have a bootleg version on my Playstation that I bought from a guy awhile ago. While it was ok, I liked Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold better. It may have been choppy due to the fact that the Playstation only has 2 megabytes of ram.

The announcer pronounces it Bluto, which is really strange because all the in-game text says his name is Burnov, like the Double Dragon II: The Revenge boss (looks just like him as well, odd that he would be the only one in that fighter that looks very close to his old school DD counterpart). I think Amon is the Japan boss from Double Dragon III? Have to double check.

I get that impression here too. I thought that Double Dragon not only had the best animation of any fighter on Neo Geo, but also the best diversity of characters and the best control. I guess that would make it my favorite fighter.

Neo Geo Double Dragon sucks ass. I remember when i first heard of its release, I was thinking - fantastic! An arcade perfect port of one of my all time fave beat 'em ups! But no! All we get is this crummy KoF /SF clone.

Sorry, I don't like it. The graphics are pants and so is the game.

I hope its distant cousin ROTD is much better. :)

Neo DD was a fun fighter for a day or so, but really all the characters sucked, except billy and jimmy. The plane stage witht he cliffs was cool though.

The double Dragons are the few NES games I still have from my childhood. Checking DDIII, that guy's name was Yagyu Ranzou. He was a pure bad-ass.
