Maybe others know that Clark and ralph don't originate in kof. they just started as soldiers who uses guns and bombs in a forgotten snk game titled ikari.I think Snk should make a remake of these of these wonderfull war game. it can work in 2d or 3d animation but it should be a four player action arcade game. the additional characters in the game should be leona,whip and heidern.

You think people forgot about Ikari Warriors... where the hell are you? Man, that is like one game everyone here remembers... all my friends, co-workers... random people polled on the street (ok I am exagerating) they all know what Ikari Warriors is!!!! haha, as for a remake, check out Shock Troopers...

What about Iron Tank and Guerrila War? How about (Gold Medal?), Psycho Soldiers? To me they need the updates (especially Iron Tank) I would love to have a Track and Field game for my neo also like Gold Medal.

Sniff... I would also love a new Ikari of course, Shock Troopers does come close.

personally, I thought Ikari Warriors was a very overrated game. Sure, it was sorta revolutionary with the rotary stick and all, but it was frustrating... there are areas where if you die once and lose your red grenades, you're pretty much condemned to die over and over. It's just a very cheap game. I thought Time Soldiers was a much better game from that era.

...and even if they did make an updated Ikari Warriors, it wouldn't be as good as Shock Troopers <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

I thought the guys from Ikari Warriors were named Paul and Vince, at least in Ikari Warriors 3:The Rescue they were. I forgot if it was when you pause in the game or continue those names will appear and the corresponding score will be under their names.

But don't you think Snk should stick with sells they aren't in any situation to be experimenting.

Uhm... ...forgotten? Not Ikari. There were (and are) so many cabs in arcades, and a lot of ports had been made over the years. Nearly every 8bit micro or console got its Ikari port, and if it wasn't Ikari it sure was some Ikari-look-alike with a similar name.
However, I agree with you, having a new Ikari would be sweet, if it's in 2D <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

SNK should consider a "King of Shooters" series. That would rock!

Hhhmmmm.... That'll be an awesome idea. Since SNK did Ikari Warriors as top-down pseudo 3D (I hated the rotary joysticks), then SAURUS updated the engine in Shock Troopers. I would like to see my girl Leona and then Heidern as selectable even on a two-player Ikari Warriors update. I don't even mind if SNK did the engine like SAURUS did in Shock.

SNK, can you guys design and develop a new Ikari Warriors MVS (2D top-down with Shock Troopers game-engine in it) with Ralf, Clark, Heidern, Leona, and Whip in it??? I sure as hell will buy this even if over $400.00 for an MVS cart.

Heh right now I've been tracking down SNK NES games.

I have a minty copy of Crystalis & Guerrilla War along with copies of IRON TANK Ikari Warriors 2: Road to Victory and everyone's favorite...ATHENA!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Yah man, ikari not a forgotten.I mean if SNK dem man a bothered fi release prehistoric Isle 2 in 1999 ,10 year after de ist game, den dere issa still a chance dat we might be gettin Ikari warriors a follow up.
An none of yu dread a forget dat Ikari ad many follow ups in the arcades such as Guerilla Wars
