Well folks,

It has come to this. I was seriously trying to avoid taking it this far but I see no other way.

I recently bought a Super Dodge Ball Kit from forum member djdelly
http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168794
I sent payment on July 31, 2007 it was received on Aug 3, 2007. I sent the M.O. Certified Mail so I can have a record of it.

I got a PM saying that the M.O. was received and that the kit would be sent out early the following week. I did not hear from him again until Aug 10th a week had passed and no kit. In between that time I sent 3 PM two of which got no response.

The PM I received on Aug 10th stated that he had problems with his computer and was unable to ship anything to any one as he did not have the addresses available. But would be shipped out in the coming days. Let me mention that I sent a M.O. so I enclosed my address with it as well on a separate piece of paper along with the M.O.

Then I waited some more still no responses or SDB kit. So, then I got his number from the White Pages and decided to give him a call, that was on Aug 15 I did not actually speak to some one until Aug 16. I got a PM the next day saying that it was shipped but was given no tracking number or method of shipping. I PM him back asking for the tracking info, no response.

So on Aug 21 I call again and still get no tracking number. Yeah, I called twice because I was not able to speak to djdelly personally the first time. Then the next day I get a PM saying not to call any more that was the 22nd of Aug. It is now Aug 26 and still no kit, no response.

I have records of all the calls I made and the PMs exchanged, I have decided to post the M.O. receipt and Certified Mail slip just to prove I did send the payment. Now, I may have been wrong for calling but I would not have done so if the communication did not fall off, I just wanted my kit. Mind you he was logging in to the Forums the whole time not every day but, he could have dropped me a line about the kit. If he needed or needs time that's fine with me just let me know.

I am not accusing him of being a scammer and if this is resolved I will still leave positive feedback I have not posted his name, address or phone number because I really would like to see this resolved. I would rather have the kit but a refund would not be refused.

Darius

djdelly is a great great member to deal with. Whatever is taking him so long is almost assuredly justified. I'm 100% positive you'll get your stuff. Just be patient man.

I just waited over 4 months on someone else from this board who I trust completely. I just received the package and it was great. Sometimes you have to be patient online. You haven't even been waiting a month yet, hell, its barely been 3 weeks. Delly will come through.

You were right to call, as he stated his computer isn't working well, so you found another means of communication.

During a transaction both parties have to have a reliable source of communicating, he said his wasn't reliable, so you found one that is.

I don't mind waiting...

To qube:

I dont mind waiting as long as there is some sort of communication whether it be PM, email, phone, etc... After no communication at all I just feel like I was just being given the run around. I even stated in my post that if he needs or needed more time thats fine with me. I am still willing to work with the guy I believe we can reach some sort of agreement.

That breakdown in communication is soooooo very wrong. If you can't ship the item in a timely manner you should not be so eager to readily accept payment.
I've dealt with DJD on several occassions and everything went smoothly but these last few 'long time' members who have been outted for tardiness need to step up to the plate and resolve these matters.

I'm also in the middle of a transaction with Mr. Delly. He's been very busy lately and also I'm wondering what effect that bridge collapse had on his daily commute, since he lives literally right by it. Give him time, darmrt.

It's been 3 weeks since I sent the money, but I'm not going to worry about it for at least a few more weeks.

Time is not the issue, it is that I have not heard anything more about the transaction. Even after sending two more PM after being told not to call. I was told it was sent and if it was I just wanted the tracking number. Why tell me it was sent when it wasn't(if it was I never received it)? As I said before, if he needs or needed more time that's all that need be said and I would have just waited until he was able to send. I will still wait, I have no issue with that. But, why not keep me up to date. I am not displeased at all, just wondering if I will ever recieve the kit or refund.

I know we all have things that happen in life beyond our control. I am more than willing to allow him to work out what ever it is that may be. I just hate to wait for something that may not show up. Even if he sends me a PM saying, I am not sending anything, that's fine with me at least I'd know.

I would like say that I received my kit today. Case Closed.

Do not hesitate to deal with Mr. Delly. He made everything alright!

Whether or not he'll deal with me again is another story. Hopefully we can do business again in the future.

Glad to see it worked out. Good luck. Also if you figure out how to get the special moves to work in that game let me know. Its pretty boring without being able to pull off any specials.

And I would like to add that I got my games from djdelly today!

See, it pays to have patience... I knew he would come through, he's just busy.

Just came across this… :emb:

Sorry to worry anyone, Work has been really busy the last few months and so has the life, neither is a good excuses for shipping items late, but I get a tad forgetful when I’m under stress. I sent extra’s along with everyone’s order and I hope it made up for the delay, if not I’m sorry and I believe that the last item was received to day.

Thanks for those that stuck up for me and to those that were understanding with the situation.

Later,

dj
