whatever happened to hua jai from FF1? man he that guy is pretty crazy. after drinking a bottle of tobasco sauce, his skin turns red and goes all out on ya. he should return to CvS and should be the rival of adon or sagat. oh well thats my two cents.

According to official continuity, Hwa Jai went back to Thailand and is currently a trainer for young up and coming kickboxers. He's also Joe's trainer and sparring partner, and is usually in Joe's corner when the 'Satan of martial arts' is defending his title.

Hwa Jai returned to Thailand and became a trainer for new thai kickboxing students. but i think it would be interested to see him return to the fighting game world.

I know Real Bout Special had no storyline, but doesn't Yamazaki hold Hwa Jai's dead body in one of his intros? (vs Hon Fu or Joe I think)

I think hua jai is weak...

He has better tiger kick than joe in ff
but what else he has?

Even he need drink to do tiger kick rush...

When he is in normal condition, beating him is as easy as beating billy with no stick...

I think...

Something tells me if the character were put into a new FF or KOF game he wouldn't be so 'simple' or 'weak'. However, as the first game is the only one he was ever in there's really no other real criteria by which to judge him:P.

The decision to keep him out of future installments was because Joe was already in there representing the Thai Kickboxing element and Hwa's inclusion into future games would have been redundant, especially when you consider that Hwa's moves are very similar to Joe's...

Not that that ever stopped Ryu & Ken, older Ryo, Robert, Takuma and Yuri, older Kyo and Iori, Kim and Jhun, you know the rest..

All those characters are more important, with the possibility of Jhun, in their respective series than Hwa was in FF. Not only was Hwa redundant, nobody really cared.

Imagine SF without Ken...it isn't happening. Imagine FF with Hwa...it isn't mattering <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">.

I'll admit that Hwa Jai was VERY weak in FF1. However, it'd be nice to see what could be done with him by a human player.

To differentiate him from Joe, they could give him some new moves.

The drinking is one thing that could be taken advantage of to revamp him. Example- Some moves would be accessible after Hwa Jai drinks once, then one more drink would be needed to access another set of moves. Maybe they could get a "Gen" thing going with 2 alternate move sets.

With some revamping, bringing back Hwa Jai may not be such a bad idea.
