MVS Last Blade (boss code)

Can someone tell me how to get this code to work. Game Faq has a code on there site to get the sub-boss. I can`t get the this to work. I know you can`t get the fake Iori boss. Last just how good is LB2 really. I`m trying to decide on buying it or MOTW.

At the character select menu, you have to press C 6 times, B 3 times, then C again 4 times. You have to do it within a matter of like 5 seconds or less. So do it fast. The only problem is that you can only access one boss character not three as said on Gamefaqs because of the MVS version. The home version allows you to select all three characters.
