Metal Slug 1 Hostages

Has anyone been able to locate a FAQ that would provide an exact number of hostages located in each area of Metal Slug 1? I am trying to see what score needs to be achieved in order to receive the alternate ending and by seemingly missing a few hostages here and there, am unable to pump up my score. Specifically, I have only been able to locate 9 hostages on stage 3 (with the twin tanks as the boss) and am truly stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

As far as I know, there are 2 endings to MS1, and seem to be solely dependent on whether you're playing with 1 or 2 players.

If I'm wrong about that, I'd sure like to know how to get the other endings!

Kale, those twin tanks are in stage 4. I've never heard anything about an alternate ending, has anybody seen it? One that doesn't involve the paper airplane?

Whoops, my bad. You're absolutely right. In terms of alternate endings, I once heard someone mention an ending where the paper airplane hits General Morten (sp?) at the end instead of flying off into a distance.
