Question about Metal Slug 3 AES

I was wondering if you can run MS3 AES in MVS mode on a modified home system. My system has an MVS switch that was installed by MAS a long time ago and when I try to run MS3 I get a black screen, but it works fine in US Home and Japanese Home configurations. Most of my other games work fine in MVS mode, although Shock Troopers 2 has messed up graphics for the credits only. I am curious if the systems modified by Jeff Kurtz are capable of running MS3 in MVS mode. Thanks.
