My time has come, problem with a seller !

Well well, this day would come sooner or later but i was hoping to be much more later than this, point is, i bought a used piece of hardware from a seller here (name later) it should be in mint condition and a paid a premium for that little word MINT, im not a pick guy and since the hardware is for my wife and daughter it wont be in mint condition for a long time, that said when the item arrived it was not in MINT condition the case has little bruises and the buttons were showing some dust, not a problem i cleaned it and it looks perfect new until i powered it, thats when my problem starts, two little stucked pixels (one red and a green one) in each screen pops out right into my face.

Now what, how do i handle this case, keep in mind that the product is with me here in Brasil and returning it to the seller will cost a lot of money, im willing to keep it even with those pixels problems, but i will have to give the other one to my wife and keep this with me since she cant stand the pixel problems (womens :angry: ), but im expecting a HUGE refund from the seller to stand this problem, am i correct ?

Im only posting it here as a rant since i expect the problem to be solved ASAP, if not i will start to point fingers and names. :mr_t: , the seller appears to be a good guy and shipped the item fast to me right after the payment so im not expecting any hassle at all.

Let's see what happens.

I say figure out how much it's worth in average condition. Then ask the seller for the difference in value. Some people are not too bothered by a dead pixel or two, so maybe you could sell it on the forum or eBay and then find another one.

The seller send me a PM last night and although he was aware of only one stuck pixels he thought it was a big deal so he didnt mention it to me, told me that he is sorry for that but unfortunately the item is nonrefundable at all and he can send me a game to compensate my loss, i asked for two games or 30 dollars back as i think its very reasonable, im waiting for a final reply.

More on this in the next chapter of your favorite soap opera, in the same bat-time in the same bat-channel ..... :rolleyes:

Whoever sold you this is wrong. They advertised it as MINT. The person has now admitted that they knew of only one stuck pixel and thought it was no big deal so they didn't mention it. That's not how it works. The seller knew that it WOULD make a difference that's the real reason they didnt mention it. Now to say that the system is nonrefundable is bullshit. I'm sure you wouldn't have bought it had you known the truth. You should be refunded for the initial price you paid PLUS the amount you have to pay to ship it back. You paid a premium price for something that wasn't in premium condition. Too bad we don't know who the seller is. This way people could steer clear of this seller.

Im only waiting the response to my PM to start the name calling, but if you dig a little further about threads i started in the everything else part of the forum you will see the name of the seller, he dont seen to be a bad seller he appears to lack common sense when you do a sale.

Phillip, im with you, but i will take the loss since my wife already took my DS and let me with the dead pixel one and i dont want to start looking for another one, i hope he will come to his senses and send me a refund or two games and by doing that i will call the question solved.

Seller here.

Note 1) I never noticed any dust or anything and the casing was fine first off.
Note 2) There was a picture of item before it was sold
Note 3) It would cost him more to send it back to me than it would be worth as far as time and trouble. Plus I'd have to recharge him shipping. Which I know he would not pay again.
Note 4) If I bought it brand new with a dead pixel and nintendo claims that as fine then its mint. Dead pixel have nothing to due with condictioning as re says Nintendo of America in there NDS manual.
Note 5) I offered a choice of Childern of mana or Magic Starsign which both go for 34.99 used. After shipping to his location that cost me theortical value of around $40.
Note 6) I always use amazing packaging and this always burns me about $15 shipping.

Honestly I would of been perfectly fine dealing with this situation untill I read this thread. Now i'm more than less compelled to even offer any refund at all. If a buyer has a issue with a seller he should deal with the seller privatly first. He posted this probably minutes after sending me the message and giving me no time to reply. A $30 refund on a DS + Final Fantasy 1 & 2 dawn plus Super Mario DS add up to be far more than what he payed for it plus I didnt charge for shipping. I'm not selling a DS for for less than $100 sorry thats pure crap. I could of gotten $90 for the DS during the week I sold it to him due to promotion at ebgames. Also $15 for super mario ds and $ 7 for FF1&2. Buy selling it to him I barely made over there lowball store credit prices. I only sold this because someone was actually looking for a ds and I had one to sell. This was more for a postive feedback than a cash venture. All in all I made a whole $8 profit off this transaction.

Ive answered your PM, dont start the drama cause it wont help you and treating me about not give me a game or refund wont work either stay cool and do the right thing, ship the one game i told you (less than i thought) and call it done, because in the end the only one thats fucked up here is me.

Again, the purpose of the thread was to ask for options about my problem as i said i never had a problem with any seller here. I will be waiting for the game.

I just think its pathetic that everyones giving you sympathy when i have now offical lost money on selling you something. In total profit now i'm only making $around 80 which is a total rip off for me because a DS + 2 ds games and a gba game is a crap deal for me. If anyone gets fucked in the situation its me. If you want your refund item I will only send it after positive feedback is left. I know your time and your type will take a item then still go on and complain and leave negitive feedback. I'm defanity not taking a negitive for a transaction thats only made me lose money and cause me wasted time and annoyance. I could of sold it to the store for me instead I get fucked trying to just break even now.

Uh, if you didn't pass off a ds with a dead pixel as mint, you wouldn't have this problem. If Nintendo didn't see dead pixels as a problem, then why is it that they are willing to exchange/repair DS' with dead pixel(s)?

If a seller (toyslinehk) is honest about a item, he would not run into this kind of problem.

In your case with Neo Collector, it is YOU who are responsible for telling him the DS has a dead pixel.

I usually stay out of these things, but have ya'll noticed it is always the same several members here that have an issue or chime in on issues. I am starting to notice a trend. No offense to anyone, but it look at the threads in this forum and you will notice the trend.

Did you read the PM i sent to you ? Im a man of word and if i say i will leave you positive feedback i will do so as i did when i told you i would pay for the mint DS you were selling, the funny thing about this is that you dont trust me even after i payed for the DS in advance when you got no feedback here, i trusted you and got a faulty DS and you are asking me to leave good feedback to you or you wont send the game, please stop being such a kid, lets end it until things got uglier to you.

I did not say that, but if you look at all the treads, it is the same 10 or so members here that chime in on every issue in the feedback forum whether it is related to them or not. I am just stating a trend I noticed and nothing against you personally.

OK, after thinking for two seconds, i decided this.

I dont want your game anymore, i do not want you to loose your 8 dollars profit, please forgive me if i annoyed you with my two tine little problems, but (theres always a but) i will exercise my divine right to leave you a negative since you sold me something described as MINT and although you were aware of one dead pixel you didnt bother to tell me that.

After you i leave you the negative you wont have any right to leave me negative feedback because i honored my part of the deal paying you the price i said i would pay, what im expect from you is that you didnt act like a child and leave me bad feedback.

I think most of the member are worried about deal problems and thats why you see then all in those kind of threads.

Members such as kitkit who've done heaps of business online should perhaps get a little more credit for their opinions than others with little or no experience.

If kitkit wants to chime in on a thread such as this (or Chai, or Dean, or SNKJorge or BIGBEAR or whoever), then I say good.
