I've searched a bit here (and with my other, more posted at forum (in the sig ;P) and I can't seem to find out much on converting a Japanese Candy cab to accept US quarters :) Doesnt anybody have any experience with this? Curious :)

Thanks all!

i have an ok baby cab. unknowingly i bought a $.25 mech for it, and well, it didnt work. it fits, theres some universal mounting that the industry seems to have adopted. but i didnt need a mech, what i need, im pretty sure, is a coin comparitor. a mech is just mechanical, the coin is supposed to hit a switch, where as a comparitor is the mech and switch in one. theres a difference of about $40 too.

the one in your cab (assuming you have one) should be adjustable. i tried messing with mine but i couldnt get it to accept any coins.:crying:

I have a few super neos and an egret- the egret I can't get for the life of me (but it feels sooo close!). lol..coinmechanisms.com has some comparitors- but they have soo many different models. I think a little research on my end- and you've solved my problem. Thanks a bunch!

I was able to get my neo 25 candy to accept quarters by using some spacers (washers) between the coin mech and the arm that moves away from the mech when the coin release is pushed down.
