well, i have this aes for 3 years now and never had any problem until today.
the machine doesnt start after i powerd it up!i was going do play a bit of slug 3 when this happend...first i tought that the cart might be wrongly inserted, but no. then i tried with other carts and the same. i tried to clean the connections but the problem persists.the system powers up but i get a black screen.
can some one help me?any ideas?
thanks

Does the video encoder enable when you turn it on (does the screen flicker).

Color error codes as follows...

Code:
Blue = All tests passed (does not test z80).
Red = WorkRAM error (0x100000 region).
Green = PaletteRAM error (0x400000 region).
Yellow = VideoRAM error (programmed through custom port).
Pink = Bios selfcheck error (0xC00000 region).
Cyan = Memory card error (only tested if card in unit and blank).

So you AES looks to be suffering from bad Work RAM or maybe a broken trace causing the RAM not to work correctly.

That Work RAM is surface mount... Not real easy to replace if you don't have the gear.

Not sure who to point you to on that side of the world to get it fixed. I'm sure someone here will know.
