HELP NEEDED: fighting against May-Lee

I need to find a weak point for her (playing against a human not CPU) I am sure there should be one .......... which character will be the best , which move will be most useful ...... she doesn't stop kicking after a good chance and here close D has a wide attack range, any idea?

i'd use either KIm or May-Lee herself. the thing is she is very fast, but Kim is much faster just learn a good damaging combo with him and jump around like crazy varying between CD, A, C and D air attacks (if they connect properly punish them with a good combo). if using May-Lee then use her kicks and huge combos to death and simply use her counter if yer opponent becomes too trigger happy (don't become too trigger happy yerself!).

u also might wanna try someone like Seth so u can simply counter her kicks, or Vanessa and simply go under them and annoy the crap out of yer opponent by confusing him.

personally, i'd go with Kim because he can be used very unpredictibly and he's friggin fast.

May Lee is quick and combo friendly, best bet is Heidern.

You can keep her at bay with his Cross Cutter, or when she gets close use Moon Slasher. His Neck Roller move is also good for when she gets jumpy.

I think her combo-friendliness is her weak spot.

Most May Lee users I've played against tried to pull off huge kick combos with her, but once you block one of her furious kick-storms, you can cancel and throw or combo her with punches. Jump in, turtle a bit, roll through and punish her.

She's a mid-range chara, so either do close-up melee or use Robert (or any other char with a dragon punch and/or projectiles), throw fireballs at her and do a dragon punch if she comes close.

And yeah, Heidern is always a good choice in 2k1. He's fucking strong, almost too strong. With his Moon Slasher, Storm Bringer, Cross Cutter and jump-CD alone one can beat any CPU opponent with ease. Kinda boring.

thanks everyone but I need to know few more things:

-is there a chance to strike while she is doing the combo? (while changing fighting stance for example?)

-I use these fighters the most: K' , Benimaru , Iori , K9999 and Kyo (training with Lin and Robert ........ I am OK with them)
which of them has a good airial attack against her "Down C"

-will using a striker help me?

If she is in a big combo, she will continue to hit your block. Then do a blocked CD or b+AB for a guard roll (consumes one power stock). Pay attention to her follow-up moves if you do a guard roll backwards.

With more timing, you could also try to guard roll right through her, giving you ample chance to combo her from behind while she's still in her own combo routine.

What you can do afterwards is up to your chara. Using K', you could counter with a qcb+K, or do a quick CD followed by qcf+P, get a lil' more close or do another roll, and immediately follow up with a f,d,df+P (preferrably weak punch).

DON'T LET THE MAY LEE USER KEEP A DISTANCE FROM YOU
you have to get close to her doing fast attacks (light down kicks) to counter her moves.
good may lee users will change between hero and normal modes. why? because by changing modes the user can cancel attacks.
once they keep a distance from you, they can do the hero mode stand C, than into qcf A/df B/cancel back into normal mode and do down D....... and so go on...
when they do these they are already controlling the game. you will start blocking. note that may lee has a guard cancel move in hero mode (qcf C) may lee can then do the air dm...

need someone that has good, fast, far kicks and punches against may lee.
controlling the game is the key.
foxy, kensou, beni, choi, may lee herself............ will do.

Learn Maxima, He can grab or bunker buster right through may lee and angel's circle chain moves, he's strong still (u dont have to hit them to often to take them out) and ur "uppercut" grab does a great job at taken them out of the air...most people dont expect or know how to fight a good maxima player...his running grab also cuts through a lot of ground attacks.

um i dont think this bitch has one weak point..
good against air
fast punches and kicks (anti jumping, against air attacks, far and fast :( )
cancel the stun time for moves by changing modes
most of all... easy little combos can damage you 45~85% life
hmmm i really dont know.
grab close on her and use characters who can hit over her back easily (beni kensou takuma...?)
avoid always blocking her attacks or you might end up blocking till the end/guard crash/fall in trap. use the power bar to roll away..
try mai as striker. she is good at making you the one controlling the game.

say do you use foxy?
whip? kensou? beni?

from what I saw, I think Lin and Benimaru are the best against her (that's if you don't use May-Lee)
