it took time for me to "get into" FFS

I just played it more, jubei madskills is always good for a laugh.

It looks dated, but feels very solid and playable if you give it time.

I sold my FFS a while back, I'm thinking of buying it again because quite frankly, I miss it.

It looks very outdated no doubt, but the music and stage atmosphere along with solid gameplay make up for it. How could anyone not love Tung's stage opening, or that beautiful music track? Duck's disco stage is sorely missed too, as well as the Geese opening.

I really miss playing with Jubei, even though he's one of the cheapest bastards in the game with all those grabs. In the hands of a master, (like myself) he's fuckin' scary.

Why wasn't he ever playable in a KOF game? To my knowledge, he was only in 2 games... FF2 and FFS. He was too much of an offensive powerhouse to only grace 2 brawlers.

FFS is my favorite of that series.

I'm sure part of that is due to nostalgia. I played that game to DEATH on my old AES when it came out! The graphics were so beautiful... all the lovely colors! :)

How many of you could unlock Ryo easily on FFS? I've been playing it for 3 months, and I still can't get that right, that code was a pain in the ass to time just right during the demo screen

And lets not forget jubei can be found on the China background in 97

Back on topic though, FFS is a top notch fighter. Everytime me and one of my good buds get together for some neo gamin, FFS is always the first game we play, we can sit there and play it for hours on end. The gameplay is so tight. It is deffinatly one of the best classic games to date, and why anybody would not have this game in their collection is beyond me. Sure the graphics may not be as pretty as MOTW or LB, but the gameplay has more than stood the test of time.

Jubei is also in Terry's stage in KOF '96, and Kim's in RBFF2.

By the way, what are those cookie things that he eats? They must be really hard if they can injury you when thrown.
