I have Windjammers MVS cart and it plays all the way threw the title screen and demo on my 6 slot, but once I hit the player one start button it resets. I have never had a problem with this before when it was installed in my 2 slot. Why is this happening. I've tried switching slots on the 6 slot and still it does the same thing. Can someone please offer some advice.

How many carts do you have in the board when you tried this? 1 or 3+?

I hope you have a nice strong PSU if you are using a 6 slot, those things are vampires when it comes to amps.

What PSU are you using BTW?

Standard 5-12v PSU. I just tried Windjammers by itself and it still won't work. Do you like my ghetto ass setup. I play on one of those bootleg MGS cabs and my button layout is terrible. :crying:

Dude, Xian is right, you need a power supply that is over the 150 watt range, by the looks of the pic, you have a standard 100 to 110 watt power supply. How many watts is the one you have showing?

now my viewpoint is doing it. Arrghhh!!!!!

I have no idea how many watts the PSU is. It doesn't say how many anywhere on it. My viewpoint and windjammers are mint and worked flawlessly on my old 2 slot; so I don't think they are faulty. Also i've cleaned the contacts and tried each one several times in each of the 6 slots. So you guys think I need a stronger power supply?

I think someone said that for 6 slots they reccomend your 5v output to be at least 8A max output

Yea I'd go with a stronger power supply...It must be taking some kind of dip when those carts are selected.

I'd also try clearing the back-up ram memory...I dunnomsometimes it causes problem sand clearing it clears them up..

Even though you are not playing a game at the time, the cart will still draw power. Try taking out 2 games, then 3, then 4, etc to see if your troubled games behave better with less carts in the slots. If so, then that really points to a power issue.

That King of Fighters is also a bootleg, that can cause your mvs board to do strange things. Try it again with that game removed.

I agree with the Bootleg cart causing the problem 100%..I didn't note on it due to:

I just tried Windjammers by itself and it still won't work

i've cleaned the contacts and tried each one several times in each of the 6 slots
.

.......
Now that boot might have caused some craziness in the boards memory data so I'd clear the back-up memory anyhow..

I don't know too much about the memory data etc..But I do know that boots can cause some really crazy problems.
