well, I got this blast city cab and when I turn it on, the fan doesn't move. AC is pumped through the cab...but no DC voltage and the power light on the psu doesn't go on. I need a security torx bit to get into the psu to see it there's a fuse or somthing inside that could be out....but I am not an expert with these cabs. There is a big plug full of AC wires in the cab and I figured they went to the big fishing controller....but only two wires out of the 4 blue and 4 pink on this plug have AC in them and only after I push in the door switch...which is why I am wondering if it needs to be routed somewhere else and back into the box....although that may be way off, lol!

Wondering if there needs to be a draw on this line before the psu can turn on?

or

if the psu is just shot?

or

if the AC needs to be routed out through all of these switches and boards before it's sent back into the the psu to get it going?

I figured the fan would be running in there though....or is that wired from the psu at 12v or something?

When I get my bits in the mail, I can open it and dig through the psu box, but right now I am just trying to get a head start on the thought process and well, bounce some thoughts (sorry if they are way off) off of some knowledgable people.

thanks for your time!

Oh, one last little question...does the black or white AC wire run through the fuse in a cab? (gameroom ready for the mother in law's visit, so I can't get inside the cabs to check right now as the bed is all layed out. Crap Sad

thanks

some other info...

Monitor is not in there yet, but I've used my multimeter and get nothing from any of the DC out's in the one major plug. I hooked up the AC switch on the door bu jamming a roll of tape in there, lol...which made it so I could get AC readings through this other big plug....but I don't know if that went to a switch or was just routed back into the psu.

Here's the plug I am talking about: (top white one)..I only get AC through one pink and one blue, both being bigger wires, but there are 6 other wires and they don't have anything running through them. I was thinking maybe it's routed into something and sent back through the other big wires into the psu. Again, I may be WAY OFF, but sometimes I just need someone to bounce these thoughts off of. I am guessing it would be dangerous to buy the other end of that molex and route the AC back into those other wires and see if something happens, lol.

I made a harness and all of the controls and everything run through it just fine, including the ground, but I get no DC from the side plug, which goes into the bottom white molex in the top picture. I can easily bypass this psu and just pop another psu on the side and connect it to the power molex on my home made harness, but I'd rather use what's in there and if it's just waiting for power that's stopped somewhere in the cab, I will be pissed at myself for not figuring it out, lol.

Right now I had nothing hooked up to the bog molex with the pink and blue running to it, and that's the only big thing in the cab that I don't know what to do with....so that's why I figure it might be the issue.
