English Progear - CPS2 sound issue

Hello everyone. I'm currently having a problem with a progear board. The music and sound effects sound very strange past the insert credit screen.

I have swapped the (01) sound rom with another English progear board, but it made no difference, the problem still remains.

I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem like this.

I also wanted to know what would happen if I took all the English roms and put them into a japanese progear?

I hate to suggest something so obvious, but have you tried changing your A board?

I don't think swapping ROMs with the JP board would damage anything but you might need to swap the PALs as well. An awful idea if both aren't pheonixed though

Also just check the connections on the B board. They aren't very well made and there could easily be some not making contact. You can open both up and do a continuity check. It would take a while, but for Progear it's worth it
