Hi. I was wondering: how did guys come out with your user names?

Terry is my favorite. He was the first Neo Geo Chr that I played with, and is fairly powerful. And I am fairly good with him. I used Master, because in Mark of the Wolves, he's known as the Martial Art Master. I am not bragging, but I also practice martial arts, and think I am fairly good at it. Hence, the name Master Terry bogard. I also put Master, because I thought someone already had their user name under Terry Bogard

Simple, I love KMFDM and my favorite KMFDM song is DIY. After I found out what DIY actually meant(Do It Yourself) I figured that it fit my slacker life style. DIY is just a named that has evoled from other (mostly music)forums.

I love Fatal Fury also but if I used the name of my favorite character I'd be Blue Mary, so I just went with DIY on this forum.

Back in the day when I was a kid online doing MIDI's and HTML when the interent was first getting popular.. I went by THeDReaMaSTeR. Then I went on to open and run a Tropical Fish hatchery, Dream Aquatics. The shortening of that name is DreamH2o, or Dream Water. This has been my User ID on ebay for 3 years, and is how I am known online today. So I used the name I already had!

Wan-Fu was one my favorite characters from Samurai Shodown. Most people selected Haomaru, Hanzo or Ukyo but I liked Wan-Fu and Tam Tam because people usually were not familiar with their moves and you could kick some serious butt with them. Wan-Fu also has one of the cooler endings of all the characters. Sadly, he was horribly nerfed in Samurai Shodown II with that aweful pillar instead of the magnificent sword he had in the first game, which is one of the reasons I like the first game better.

My handle comes from the handle I used in the early days of BBS's when I was using an Atari 800. This was probably back in 1983 when I got the name Mouse Master. Some of my 'online' friends at the time came up with it, and I have used it since....

Yes, not a creative bone in my body at all!

Well I have a habit of calling my friends (or coworkers that I know well) chimps. Used to be turkies, but then later I changed it to chimp. So, I became chimpmeister, which in a bastardized German-language way means "master of the chimps".

Well, I grew up on Godzilla movies, and he's always been my hero and role model. I like the idea of being a tower of destruction that takes no shit, pretty much like the Big G himself.

When I started working with a writer here in town on some comic projects, I quickly realized I needed a pen name due to the subject matter of our work (adults only sort of stuff). I picked Gojira because of the hero worship I have for him, and the fact that only purists would catch on to where I got it from. I liked the name so much, I just went with it for a screen name too.

Good thing my stuff is so low key in the comic market. Toho might start wanting a cut of the little bit of money I ever see out of my work...

Hmmm, after reading my last post, I realize I may have come across sounding a little egocentric. Please allow me to correct myself a little.

I didn't mean that I AM a "walking tower of destruction yadda yadda", I just meant that it would be cool to be like that.

*whew* For a minute, I thought I sounded full of myself like a certain somebody we all know. I don't wanna mention any names, I'll just say, uh, Ion Akis...um, yeah...

Well I got my name from my friends and I have just used it for online purposes and kind of a nickname as well. My friends say I am a gambler so they always called me Gambit, from the X-Men comic. I'm in college and my nickname in my fraternity is also Gambit.

I got my name from what was formerly my favourite Neo·Geo game. I really wanted to choose a new name for this forum, I also considered the name of "The Heavenly One" which is my main on-line pseudonym, but simultaneously I wanted to play with the spelling of Neo Bomber Man/N. Bomberman/N. BomberMan etc. a bit more, so I went with what you see.

I didn't particularly want to call myself a character, but perhaps I would have gone with Kim Dragon, Susano, Behemoth or one of the other less-popularized names. "Captain Kidd the Pirate" I must admit to being fond of.

I created a character called "the Reverend 330 Mega" for an old site I was going to make. After awhile the character started to grow on me, the idea of a figure dedicated to spreading the gospel about the greatest arcade game system in existence. So I took the handle.

Thanks to Lou's idea I'm going to stop using my initials (FRR) and start using "REV" whenever I get to put my name on a high score screen.

I just use my name "Robi" and the digits 15, they symbol the 15 things I like most in this world of ours. The 15 things I like can be found under my Ebay username when pressing "me".

Well, it's funny how I got my name. I've had the nickname "Billkwando" long before I ever got on the net, but people only ever called me that occasionally, such as jokingly referring to me as "Billkwando" or "Billzabob" or "Bill-o-rama" or "Billy-pooh".

Originally the "Billkwando" name was given to me out of the blue one day, by my friend Dan. We were sitting around one day, drinking, listening to Black Sheep, and waiting for our Chicken Basket food to show up, and Dan suddenly turned to me and said: "I am Dan Fu Tze! and you are Billkwando! Now I'm going out in the yard to do the Juicy Juice Dance till the food shows up!" and I was just kinda like, "ok", and it was settled. I then joined him in the yard for the juicy juice dance, which is meant to invoke the speedy delivery of carry out food while drunk.

Now this was back in 93 or so, in my SF2 and SamSho heyday when I used to win alot. I always got up on the high scores, but then the thought occurred to me: "Hey, my initials spell 'BS'. As comedic as that is, I'm sure I can come up with something better for a high score name." So I thought about it for a second, and thought "I got it! BKD, for Billkwando" and thus the name became inextricably linked with my gaming and winning habits and has been my high score initials ever since.

When I first got on the net, I didn't want to use my real name (boring) so in a fit of silliness "Billkwando" crossed my mind, and I chose it as the name for my first Hotmail account, never dreaming it would still be my username more than a year later....

Thanks,
Billkwando

There used to be some big, profound, and convoluted story behind my handle/nick, but I'll be damned if I feel like repeating that mess. I use "DolphinLord" on message boards and "Dolphin_X" on IRC.

Well let's see, I have told this story before, anyway Big Bruno was a comic strip I used to do when I was in college working in the cafeteria. I was the guy who swiped cards so I had a lot of free time between swipes. anyway it was one of the many names I was called back then "Super Big Phil" (At parties I would Bring a Phillips 66 mug that was called the super big fill),"Phil Spector" (my Creative friends called my that after the famous song writer, I also drove around a 76' ford LTD that they called the "Wall of Sound" and "PWB" (my Girl

called my that it stood for Pimp Wanna Be, When I was not punked out I would wear a Long Black leather trench coat, my friends always threw parties so when I was working in the Cafeteria the Ladies would ask where the parties were, and of course they wanted a escort. So I would always show up to parties with 5-8 girls around me, that was the life

. I was also in good shape back then. Anyway I just kinda held onto it when I got on the Net back in 94. I always use BIG as my Initials. I kinda shy away from using my reinitials PRK, Use your imagination.

No story, this was just the name I used when I first got onto the net and started going into chat rooms about 4 years ago. Although the name I used then was S©oobyDoo, but most boards won't except the character in the name anymore.

I still use my old name on my web site though!
