CADMAN2K is shady???

SO I posted a thread last week asking who's work was on a consolized MVS unit.

Over the weekend CADMAN2K contacts me saying he has one for sale, I then reply with how much you looking for it before we waste time, he says £140-180. I see the pics and I like what I see etc so I made an offer of £120 shipped, he say no way, I'm looking for £140 to £180.

By the way, his first PM said he was offering the package with the stick and pad included.

So after some thinking and a few more emails I offer him £140 shipped, he doesn't reply, yet he logs into the forum checking threads for a couple hours. Then all of a sudden he finds out the pad is faulty and would have to include a neo stick, but it will become £40 more.

I was like WTF?

You can't keep messing the package around like that, its shady as fuck. Like he wanted to bump the price up in a clever way/plot. If I would of known it was going to be over £200+ then I would of said no straight away and not wasted my bank holiday weekend PMing him. I then offered him £140 for the Unit + cables etc without the pad and stick, but nows he's just ignoring me.

I actually did a deal with him last year for a AW cart, he put cash down + a modded saturn, which funnily enought died within 3 days or perhaps it was faulty, but I didn't have a leg to stand on so I just binned it and swallowed the loss.

He also posted he was getting rid of his bootleg carts not so long ago and I offered cash for a few of them, that turned into a no go with no more communication.

Moral of the story, don't waste your time with him.

but i've dealt with him once and i had a turfmasters conversion and he offered me a manual for it for a smashing price

He had PMd me at one time offering a trade: his JVC Wondermega for my Sega CDX. After PMing back and forth and sending a few pics of the CDX to him I had later assumed he had changed his mind since he never responded to my PMs again.

Not a big deal really, but it is nice to at least notify someone that you are no longer interested in a trade/sale instead of ignoring them.

I wouldn't say he is shady, just not "polite"

Well, its shady that he's pissed around with the price of the package in a clever way.

But you're right, he's very ignorant, I wouldn't mind a email like 2 days ago saying the sales withdrawn or that he's having a deal with somebody else.

I am sorry you have resorted to posting something on the forums like this.
In relation to ''Not responding'' without having to explain things again, I basically told you the price I wanted, unfortunately both your offers over a 2 day period were less than what I told you..
I have since picked up a PM tonight with a revised offer.

In relation to the Saturn that you mentioned in the trade, the system worked A+++ when it left me, I think it was just unfortunate that if it did die on you then this was something beyond my control.

As stated I have a lot of satisfied dealings with Forum Members, although my feedback is low on here it speaks for itself.

In relation to Ignorance, I have had some serious family matters to deal with which have prevented me from spending time on the forums, I have been responding to serious queries though.

Like I said, I have been responding to serious queries, In fact ask AndyH on the forums, he will tell you I am a serious trader.
I don't make a Habit of wasting peoples time and expect the same in return.
I also will not be 'pushed' in to making deals just for the hell of it.

Time wasters automatically gets put in my Permanent ignore list. It's that simple.

Just to close out this one and to clarify in our correspondence, I have no way at any time tried to 'push up the price' that is the way you seem to have read in to things and then decided to make public and criticise on the basis of your understanding.
Unfortunately it appears you did not see what I was trying to get at.

The I let you know that the offer is to low, meanwhile after testing the 'CD Pad' I find that the down microswitch is a little bit hitty missy and would not want to let it go like this, I then let you know I can supply a 1st generation Neo Stick and try to say that If I was to supply with the stick then I would like the offer to reflect that, I mention that Neo sticks fetch 40 alone, at no time was I trying to put 40 on to the top offer price and push it up.
What may have been sensible from your side and to tell me you were in fact serious about the deal was to have offered close to the 180 to reflect the addition of the 1st generation stick in the package.

I trust this clarifies things.

You came to me looking for a sale and I told you I'm serious about the purchase and I never back out of a serious sale.

Just don't ignore people, just let them know what the hell is going on, instead of making me wait around for a reply for 2 days.

Neo sticks fetched £40 2 years ago mate.

You first PM was offering me the package with the stick anyway, then you snuck that out of the deal, then the pad was faulty, then the stick insertation then bumped the price by another £40.

As stated earlier I have had some serious family matters to deal with over the weekend , on top of that yesterday was a Public Holiday in the UK that I intended to just 'Chill out' and recharge the batteries.

Anyone on here will tell you that there comes a time when if you seriously wnat the items you basically have to pay the going rate.

It's like the old story, things are only worth what someone is prepared to pay for them.

A lot of people would quite happily pay the VGI price of £43 for a Secondhand stick.

I've bought a few carts and shockboxes of CADMAN2K in the past and hopefully in the future I'll buy some more(sends pm! ) Top bloke, no worries here

You wanted £140-180
The fault pad could deduct £25 (at LOL VGI's prices)

That brings the new want price to £120 to £160

Then you wanted to add a stick worth (£43 at VGI's prices)

That brings the price up to £160 to £200

I didn't want the broken pad or the stick so the offer should of been like £120-160 again.

I offerd £140 shipped for the package minus the stick and faulty pad.

What don't you get about that?

I am not trying to make anyone out to be the 'Bad Person', putting it simply, I was dealing with lots of issues at the weekend, I did go through on serious trades that I could complete and were finalised, like I stated, because of issues I did not have all the time to respond to everyone so only completed what was finalised.
I have done lots of succesful deals here and people will probably vouch for that, In fact one of my latest succesful deals was to get 2 Hyper 64 Motherboards from here to the U.S for member PAS in record time of 1 and half days door to door I would like to challenge anybody to do that.
Mate, you decided to put up a post on here describing me as shady.??
Its one thing that I most certainly am not.
It would be 'nice' if you retract that statement.

I won't retract this, afterall its what the feedback forums for isn't it?

All you had to do is say "Brett, I'm sorting some other deals out, can you bear with me etc etc etc" but I wasn't serious enough for you

And in my opinion, what you did was shady, you didn't even reflect the price with the faulty pad at all, it just jumped the price of your unit up. It seems very weird and suspicious if you ask me.

I made other offers, its called bartering, happens with nearly everybody on the forum.

There's threads for timewasters here in the feedback forum and its classed as being half way if you ask me and people need to know what kind of response they get with a certain member.

In this case a few people have told me you ignore emails at a certain point, I mean, fair enough if the deal gets boring say "no deal we obviously can't agree" but just pushing them aside leaving them in the dark isn't how business is conducted here.
