help with unibios 2.3/Sound problems

Hello i have had the uni-bios in my cmvs 2 slot for month now and it worked fine.

For some reason the past 3 days when i turn on the cmvs and hold down A+B+C to enter unibios menu so i can switch game mode from mvs to aes, it doesnt reconize the cammand.
I cant get to that screen to save my life but when the game loads i can push SELECT + START for cheat options and it works fine. Although none of the other commands work. I dont know what to do guys HELP.

Great now all of a sudden the sound is buggy cuts in and out goes from low volume to no volume.By buggy i mean it sounds like a cd track skipping.

P.S.Jeff Kurtz put this thing together even got and installed/tested unibios before shipment.

P.S.S. Sorry man i was really tired.

Its not that the unibios isnt working its that its not always easy to press all three exactly at the same time. What controller are you using? The only controller that I can get it 96% of the time is a PS2 controller. With the old stick I could barely get it to work.

I am useing the old style joystick but like i said it worked fine before.
Like around 3 1/2 weeks id say with no problems. Now however nothing not even player 2 controller test.
Or anyother commands for that matter just cheat option its all that work now.

If you can go into a hardware test check the buttons if they are working right when you press all 3.

I should have mentioned i have already tried this and yes all buttons register fine.

Could there be a problem with unibios wireing or the socket is loose man i am so srewed lol. I dont have a clue about any of this tech stuff.

I would take it apart to get picks but the wires are conected to buttons on cmvs like the hardware test button so if i take it apart im scared i would break something.

I would have no idea how to fix it if that happend.

When I say test all 3 buttons I mean at the same time, do they all change from 0 to 1 at the same time or is one of the buttons still at 0 for a split second while the other are already at 1?

Are graphics ok? Does the game run, just sounds funny? If so, have you tried cleaning the carts/cart ports?

The joystick ports & BIOS socket are standard on the 2 slot, so anything related to those shouldn't be related to other mods.

All buttons register 1 at the same time .If not same time fast enough that i dont notice.
Games run fin no graphical problems i ave cleaned the system and cart contacts still have same problems thanks for any help already given and any further suggestions.

This does sound like a Hardware issue and not a unibios issue. Though personally I think whats really happening is that you have enabled the hardware protect feature which means you need to press the testmode button plus a+b+c to get to the unibios menu before you can disable that feature again.

thank you razoola you rock that was the unibios problem .
Once i hit the test button with a+b+c it went straight to the uni menu awsome.

I am still haveing sound issues though . 1 problem down 1 to go thx guys.

Wiggle the cart around a little. Slide the volume slider up & down a few times...

i found a short that i didnt notice before in my stero cables so i think the problem is with the cords:rolleyes: .

As for the sound sliders i dont think they work never have done anything for me except make sound come out of the speaker it is slid to and if in middle both sides.

Thx for all your help everyone i think i have it from here .What whould we all do without the neo forums lol.:make_fac:
