From what a hear it is the best. I am currently looking for a 36 inch which is the biggest they made of this model. Problem is, no one will ship because the TV is so damn heavy and if they will the price will be high. Better off to find one where you live and pick up.

It's a decent TV but it only does composite and S-video. There is no Y/U/V component video at all. Also the most likely year it was made is 1999-2000.

If you're going through the trouble of buying a new TV that isn't HDTV, then atleast get one with component Y/U/V. That way if you do happen to play newer game systems or use DVD players you will get the best picture possible. Plus you will know for sure that it is more likely to be a newer TV model.

Also, Digital 3-Line Comb Filter is an option you want. This helps a lot if you hook older stuff that just uses composite since it cleans up the color bleeding and has better resolution.

You are wrong, this TV does have component video in the rear. I am in the process of purchasing one at the moment.

From what I see from the specs, they are much the same apart from one having speakers on the side and the other having them below.

Unfortunately being in north America no SCART RGB ):

That is basically a 32" version of my 27". You can't go wrong. Pretty much if it is a silver SONY WEGA or/and Trinitron with the speakers on the left and right, it is a good TV.

Have you been to any stores to check out some standard defintion TVs? Compare it to most other types. Just stay away from stuff like Emerson or General Electric.

You don't want an HD with a Neo. They are not very compatible with HD tvs and will give you a so-so picture. Stick with the nonhd's with component video and like I said before the Sony Wegas are the best. The 36 inch is the biggest they make.
