Nice! But you need a new CP with sanwas/seimitsus on that candy!

I saw your thread and thought I'd take some updated pics of my arcade. I recently got some new additions and moved a couple things around. Lemme know what you think!:

Your Robotron deserves to be restored. It's such an intense, inspired game for the ages. one of the greatest arcade games of all time. I play it on my candy cab via a jamma adapter. Racked up 810k yesterday...gonna try to get into a trance and break 1M today.

I agree, I have some supers on my six slot and ultimates on the candy. I think there's some older competitions on the 4 slot. Supers do feel the best, but I have no problem with the other two.

They're 8 way joysticks. You'd have to have the motor skills of an amputee not to be able to move the sticks 45 degrees off the axis'.

That's the thing, with Sanwas, the gate makes sure that I'm putting the stick at a 45 deg angle. Comps and ultimates are good though, but supers and P360? Please.

Plus sanwas don't bounce everywhere like a retarded monkey when you pull it to it's far end and let go.

i hate the corners sometimes.

grinding through a quarter/half/full circle is dumb.

the only thing corners help for are jumps and charge guys.

someones lacking in the motor skills department. :emb: :emb: :emb:

Does that monitor rotate? And if so, how difficult is it to do so?

I believe it does rotate, but I dont know how and I havent tried. Reason being everything I own is dedicated, and I dont own any shmups, so I didnt have a reason to. But I hear that it's not very difficult to rotate monitors on the candy cabs.

my arcade

Here a few of my toys in my arcade room conversion. all games are dedicated machines. I still have to put the bezel, marquee and rotary joysticks in the Ikari warriors machine.. Still waiting on my Atari Tetris and Gauntlet Dark Legacy game to arrive.... Can't wait to get the thing finished.:multi_co:

HOLY SH** a VS DUCK HUNT. Idk if you're selling but I'd take that and the MKII in a heartbeat! Although if you collect dedicated machines like I do you wouldn't give em up for the world :)

Edit- I just wanted to point something out, that MKII you have is in damn near perfect shape from what I can make of it, and that is a true rarity. I cant find a near mint one anywhere, and all the ones on ebay or craigslist either have the side art completely sunfaded or those security bars that hold the control panel in place, theres always something that ruins it.

:)

Your assumptions are correct, i'm not selling any of them, i'm sure this will make you throw up but i bought the Vs. Duck Hunt for $50, i had to fix the guts and all though, :). The MK2 has a little sun fading but no where near the ebay MK2's. I take pride on my machines and their upkeep. My biggest pet peive is people taking dedicated cabs, old ones at that, and making a frigin' Mame cab out of it...what a waste of coin-op history. Conversions are OK, to an extent... The games on ebay give me a laugh every now and then. They will say it is a dedicated cab and charge you 1k+, but the truth is it is just a Jamma conversion, that is no where near the original. I saw a Atari Marble Madness, which is a good game in any collection, go for 1.6k...that is just rediculous.

I think the 2 cabs by the projector screen should be facing the same way as the screen, this way if you hae people over and their playing those games they wont be blocking the proj screen.

If I could move them, I would... but I dont think I can. Not now anyway, as I have my 360 inbetween the MK and the VF, but I don't like putting the machiens on an angle. For some reason, everytime I put one of these machines on an angle it messes the monitor up color-wise, and when I use my degaussing coil on it it doesn't fix it. It would be nice to fix it, as odds are when you're playing one of the VF's the projector light is in your face. I may be able to angle them provided I get no monitor issues and I can move the 360 somewhere. I was thinking about putting it on top of one of the cabs but I dont trust the 360, and it's hard drive, to be that close to the speaker magnets. But looks wise, I think it would look better the way it is. I'll think of something. My room is not as big as I'd like it to be.

Got the Outrun fixed, dropped in a new 19" Kortek from Betson. Looks great.

This cab had received the Turbo Outrun upgrade at some point, so I removed all the decals, and tracked down a original marquee at quarterarcade.
