The damage are determinated by several parameters :
1) The Stamina . Potemkin have the strongest Stamina , while Chipp have the weakest .
Here the ranking from the toughest to the weakest .
# 7 : Potemkin
# 6 : Sol , Venom , Testament , Faust , Axl
# 5 : Ky
# 4 : Anji , May , Jam , Dizzy , Zato
# 3 : Baiken
# 2 : Millia
# 1 : Chipp
It means that Baiken have the third worst Stamina after Millia and Chipp .
Don't get hit .

2) The damage are , also , determined by the Guard gauge , below the life bar . The more it is filled , the more damage you will inflict .
Your opponent's guard jauge will fill up if he turtle a lot . If it is flashing and if your opponent get hit , it will score a Counter Hit , meaning that you can do some unexpected combos , in addition of increased damage .
The guard meter will decrease as your opponent get comboed . Until it reaches zero , in this case , the next hit will score 1 damage point .

As a consequence , the 100 % combo are possible if your opponent end up with a flashing guard meter .

More about Baiken
------------------

Her offensive potential is limited .
Her staple move is her Tatami Gaeshi ( qcf + K ) .
Otherwise , she have to rely on her pokes and her throw ( you can't escape from the throws ) .
She is more like Guile from SFII , a few offensive special moves
Her Three Slashes DM have nearly no range but made up with huge damage and priority .

How can I send the opponent to the Air to do a Aerial Rave combo? The only one that can do that is her Tatami Gaeshi and I would like to know if there is another way?

I am assuming you know of the fact that all characters have launchers. (S+HS)

If you want to see some feasty Baiken/Millia combos, head over to www.orochinagi.com and get Persona's combo vid.

Sad but true .
BTW , you have the Dust launcher , performed by pressing S + HS at a time . It is an overheard but slow .
...
However , Da Russian Chick (Millia) have a launcher , just press d + HS and you'll launch your opponent , allowing some MvsC combos .

Nada , gameplay-wise . Character-wise , the ps2 version have two extra-characters from the original Guilty Gear :
- Justice : the final boss of the first Guilty Gear , cheezy as hell , especially his Gamma Ray , a beam super .
- Kliff : Testament's stepfather ,Sol and Ky's master . He wield a giga-ass blade like Cloud's from FFVII .
If you buy GGX+ Limited Edition , you'll have the extra DVD with the anime intro .

BTW , I'll wait Guilty Gear XX .
Zato is gone ( seeing that his voice actor is dead ) , some characters will be tweaked and I am waiting for the new characters , especially Slayer and Zappa

Seriously, when I do Dust Launcher I can't combo the person for JACK with Baiken at all. I can with Millia, but I can't continue hitting the opponent and finish it. :(

That's why I need some help with these 2 characters. Honestly, Baiken is my favorite character. I love her moves and she's hot.

Heh, yeah, Baiken is hot.
However, Grahald is the local Baiken master so wait til he decides to drop another line here.

Hmm... when you launch your enemy with Baiken, you should jump up and do a few repeated punches and kicks and end it with a Youzanzen (dp + S).
When you get a bit better, you can throw in some Tatami Gaeshis (qcf + K) too.

That's all the advice I can give you, I guess...

Baiken is a ground based character , not a air's based character , this is the reality .
Her jumping kick will relaunch the opponent . Keep it in mind .
If you have a Red Gauge and launch the opponent , just jump , then punch , punch , slash or heavy slash , hyouzansen (her air-only dragon punch ) , ROMAN CANCEL ( push three button at a time ) , punch , kick (relaunch ) , jumping slash , jumping heavy slash and finish with Hyouzansen .
This is one of her very few Dust Combos (air combo) .

Roman Cancel is a GGX's unique feature : you can cancel nearly every attacks if you have your Tension Gauge filled at 50 % (minimum) .
But the mentionned attack must connect or be blocked . You can't roman cancel a whiffed attack .

BTW , keep in mind that the more hits the combo will score , the less damage it will do .

I have to jump at the character to start the combo or not?

As for more hits, I figured that out the hard way.
