Hello all I have an Ikari Warriors 1 machine, all Jamma. When i turn on the game the monitor has a smoky black wavy thing at the top of the screen, the monitor is vertical. How do i get rid of this black wavy cloud? Thanks for your help. For reference the game is clear and works all the lights work as do the coin doors.

An addition is when i turn the volume up i get a high pitch noise? What is that and why...?

A cap kit may help. Seems like the video drive supply is low and not smooth.

Sometimes running an additional ground wire from the game board to the monitor ground helps.

I'd also be interested in any information on this subject. My Big Red suffers very slightly from a 'snowy' output, which seems worse on some games than on others - Rage of the Dragons suffers the most and SS4 the least.

From what I can see, I have 2x ground leads running from the mobo, one connected to the right hand side of the case, and the other connected to the left of the case, both retained by corner screws . These leads terminate on the left and right hand joystick threads dropping down from the CP.

As I've had the cover of the mobo powdercoated, would these leads be working, or should the powder coating be scraped off to ensure a metal-to-metal contact?

Also, to echo Foxen's earlier question, how would I set about connecting an additional ground lead to the mobo and monitor chassis? Presumably, this would require another wire to be retained by the mobo corner screw and terminated somewhere on the chassis frame?? Sorry to be thick

Thanks,

SA
