Hey guys, I have a CMVS and I have an odd problem.

When I connect my system to my Westinghouse 19" LCD monitor via Composite, the picture is displayed on the screen just fine. However when I connect Component cables I get a black screen.

To make sure the Component outputs were working correctly I connected the system to my 20" CRT and it works fine.

The real kicker is that my 360's picture shows up fine via the Component inputs on the LCD. I am at a loss as to what the problem could be, maybe just a fluke and for some reason won't work.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Just powered it up again with both Component and Composite hooked up and when I flip between the 2 video modes, Composite has video and sound, and Component has neither, kinda weird that not even sound comes out...

Your TV either doesnt like the signal or there is no signal.

Is it black with a scrambled white line?

Then your TV isnt compatible with your CMVS. Some TV are pretty strict and only accept a 60hz signal and wont display anything below it. The neo outputs a 59.xxhz signal that some TVs dont like.

Do you have anything else that outputs component that you tested on the TV?

Yeah, my Xbox 360, unfortunately I don't have any other items that utilize that input to test. That works fine, although by what you said, I can assume it runs at 60hz.

Ya it sucks but if you have an S-video output on your CMVS go with that as there really isnt that big of a difference between the 2. But since you're on an LCD you may see a difference but the S-video output is great though.

I work at a place I can get cables dirt cheap so I guess I'll do that. The only reason this came up was that I wanted to see how the picture would look =P. I would probably keep using my CRT because with my 360, even Component looks grainy, VGA is all that looks really clear.

Thanks.
