My job wants me to bring in something arcade related for "hobby day"... suggestions?
I guess May 29th is like the only day that there isn't a holiday in the year, so my job decided to have a "Hobby/Tallent" holiday LOL. I was asked to bring in something arcade related to show everyone, and cant' decide what I'm going to do.
Option 1) Bring in my high rez astro city. I already got the OK to park it behind my desk for an extended period of time (not trying to bring it in, and back home in the same day). The major plus side to this is I'll get to beast on some naomi during lunch breaks. The major downside to this is I'll have to pull the monitor, and bring it up out of my basement for transporting it. Major PITA.
Option 2) Build my virtua golf control panel into a wooden frame, bring in the Naomi GDRom setup, and run it on a VGA monitor that we've got kickin around. It won't be nearly as cool as the entire cab, but it will be a heck of a lot easier than it will be lugging the astro up from my basement, 45 minutes across the state, and up another 3 floors (thank god for elevators). The Virtua Golf setup would only be in my office for that day.
So yeah I'm torn. These are the best two ways I can think of to show off my arcade hobby in an interactive setting. I don't want to just bring in pictures, thats lame.
If anyone has better suggestions, let me know. It crossed my mind wiring up a super gun real quick, I have all the parts on hand. I just don't feel like making custom sticks only for 1 day of "show and tell".
