Soo,

PSP is sitting there unused, firmware 3.3 OE A or whatever,

I probably play gradius collection about once every 3 months, I have cps1,2,MVS emus on there but I don't use them much.

I basically keep holding onto it in case some good game comes out around the corner, its not for PS3 remote play as thats pretty trivial. I need to unlock the stealth camo in MGS3 using MGA1 , and thats about it.. to be honest I'll be glad to see the back of it.

Ridge Racer was nice.

Now its time for you to go 'dude what about GTA' and all those other low quality games you have fun with, but I simply won't touch..

so.. shoot!

If only Thomas Jefferson was still alive. He could probably convince you. On the other hand, who gives a fuck? If you don't like it, sell it. You can buy another one later if you change your mind, and there will probably be another price drop at some point.

I'm just wondering why you want someone to convince you to enjoy something you don't enjoy. There's primetime television for that.

I have no idea if there is anything or not, because I don't know what you'd enjoy playing.

Well, as already stated, if you are not enjoying it, just sell it. You can always re buy it and the price may even be lower in the future.

I just went through the same thing with the DS Lite. I really got bored with it and was wondering why I still had it. I did end up keeping one DS Lite but got rid of most of my games.

I am playing all of the stuff you mentioned you don't like but they are the games that made me interested in a PSP.

Here is what I have been playing so far:

Gitaroo Man Lives
Pursuit Force
GTA Vice City Stories
Driver 76
Hot Shots Golf

I plan to get into Monster Hunter Freedom when I get bored with the above games. There is probably another 10 games that look really good to me but I have plenty to play right now.

Well, I like Metal Slug for it, but the load times are terrible. Seriously though, the only reason I am keeping mine is for Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles. Remake and original of PC Engine Dracula X plus Sympony of the Night on one UMD.

OMG it's doomed because you don't like whatever games you have. The PSP has some really good games, and in my opinion, a better mix of games than the DS, which seems to be completely oversaturated with TV-game, movie-game, pet games, puzzle-games, type games. I mean, does Hanna Montana really need to be a DS game?

there's Socoms, I have the first and it's great. Twisted Metal is an oldie but a goodie, especially online. GTA liberty City stories is ok, I can spend hours just riding around doing stuff. Untold Legends is a decent hack n slash if your into that.

But GOW is coming out soon, I hope i get my Demo UMD anyday now. Syphon Filter is decent, NFS Carbon, Outrun, Ghost n Goblins, Capcom Collection, c'mon there are tons of good games for the PSP now a days. But who knows, maybe your the Hanna Montana type, i don't know.

Sorry, but I can't help you...I HAD one and didn't even enjoy anything about it. My son on the other hand loves it for web browseing -- I suspect to look at porn without me or mom knowing.

Maybe that is the only reason to keep it -- handheld web porn.

As nice a machine as it is I've rarely used mine, really just a hightech paperweight, I sold mine. I've played maybe a dozen games if that and only metal slug and tekken were all that great. Its a great looking and powerful machine but it needs more games! Emulators help but not enough. Actually hacking its been more fun than the games. I've ran linux and windows 95 on this thing (slowly) and overclocked it. I bought at launch. Who knows maybe if they get some games on it I'll buy again, maybe but not likely. At present nothing spectacular is planned

maybe this sais more about your enjoyment of videogames in general than the PSP itself - which is embematic of today's scene - flashy, shiny, very advanced, but shallow and souless. and there's the fact that we are way too spoilt these days.


I'm hoping the forthcoming Silent Hill turns out great though.

you got it in one though, flashy, shiny, very advanced, but shallow and soulless.

Try sid myers pirates. Needs a little improvement in quite a few areas but still fun none the less.
