i have a gottlieb flying chariots pin, and it no longer turns on.

http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=901 (also is it worth anything? just curious.)

many years ago a "friend" of mine was rapidly switching it on and off, and then it just didnt turn on anymore.

i was wondering if maybe its just a fuse somewhere, i suppose i really should check for myself, but was hoping maybe one of you guys can give me a suggestion.

Seeing that your from Jersey, all I can think of is the nice guy that fixes the pinball machines at 8 on The Break. I met the guy once when I went on a trip there a few years ago. He's really nice and he knows his stuff. He'd be the best person to go to.

Being an old electro mechanical machine there is not a whole lot to go wrong...

The first thing I would check would be any fuses in the machine, especially the main line fuse. If that is good, check out your power cord, and if you are comfortable checking mains power, check that you are getting 120 into the machine. Also check that you are getting your proper vlotages from the transformer out to the coils etc. If all of these check out, look for shorts/bad coils - not sure what else it would be on that machine. Good luck, pins are a joy to troubleshoot :spock:
