Cotton Cart won't start!

Ok so I just picked up a copy of cotton (UK edition) and it won't boot I get either a blank screen or the main menu for the NGPC but no cotton. All my other games work fine.

Sounds like you have to clean that cart a bit. Get some diode cleaning fluid and put a cotton swab to it. Let dry in a well ventilated area then try it again.

Put the cart in and then pull it slightly out -- experiment a few times and you'll find the sweet spot to make it work. I have this problem with several carts and it's not the contacts as the carts work perfectly on other NGPC's.

well I cleaned it. Doesnt work well on any NGPCs but I got it working somewhat the trick is to push a button at boot and keep pushing buttons till you've finished the game!

I am going to quote myself because I am 100% sure this is the problem. I tried KOF R2 (a game I have had problems with on all my systems just as you have described). I was able to get it to work with your method, but the game works perfectly when pushed all the way in then pulled out just a little bit. Like I said, I have this problem with probably about 10 different games and this method works on all of them.
