Things the PSP is Obviously capable of but Sony hasn't enabled

After using the crap out of my PSP, I have some things I would like to be able to do with it that it can, it's just that Sony hasn't gotten their freakin act together.

Keyboard support. Number one on my list, this would make it a freaking dream for me.

GPS attachment support. They have it in Japan, WTF not here.

Firmware update to the browser that allows for the viewing of Youtube videos on the internet.

Any more things anyone wants to see enabled, please add. I would love to see what people come up with.

The camera and translation software would be nice to further improve its travel features. They have both of these in Japan as well. Also multiple color choices other than black like they have in Japan.

Personally I just sold mine for 160 and am busy collecting/playing NGPC instead

I have the GPS and it is pretty sweet.

It is also fully functional with Everbody's Golf Course #1 that comes out at the end of this month. You can use your PSP as a virtual caddy for all of the golf courses in Chiba prefecture, Japan. Pretty damn cool idea/use of gaming technology if you ask me. Not sure I'll ever get a chance to try it in practice, but possibly if I improve my own game enough...

Oh yeah, things I want. Well, version 2 would be top of my list. I'm pretty happy with the existing system, but a stronger (strongest) backlight level under battery power would be nice along with a slightly more compact design.

Well now that I think about it, an onboard video camera attachment and compatibility with MS office software would be nice. If they added all that with a keyboard, then you could video chat, as well as IM with added compatibility with AOL IM, and actually get work done, if you can pull yourself away from the games that are only one click away.

Well, the camera is already out in Japan, and I think I read that it is out in other territories (Europe maybe?) pretty soon.

Did those City Guide games come out anywhere other than Europe?

Those would be pretty awesome if they came out in the US :emb:

a new version would be nice. More battery life, better controls etc. all of which is attainable now through modding

The US cities aren't interesting enough to have guides ;)

Anyway, the feature I miss in a PSP is the removal of the UMD drive.
