YES! That ending was amazing. Rock joins Kain, and Terry lets him go. What would happen next?
That's just the beginning (it's the best ending, but there are some other really good ones). Like how Yamazaki trashes Marco's dojo "while Master Ryo was training in the mountains." We could've seen a 50-year old (like Geese) Yamazaki, or a 40-year old Ryo. Andy ends Hokutomaru's training and claims he's now a "rival;" what would he have been like at age 30-35? Kevin never caught Freeman. Kim is also around and could've entered the next tournament to keep his kids in line.
So many great possibilities. Should've been a sequel to MOTW, it would've been awesome.

Also wow i didnt know that yamazaki was the gym braker how amazing
Why does rock diss terry, do you think he recents him a little for not being able to save his father which meant he would have so many unsolved questions in his life that he might have wanted to ask geese.

To see Kim, play Dong Hwan, and finish off an opponent with any DM/SDM.
The Marco ending was a reference to KOF '98. If you read the back story, Yamazaki trashed Takuma's dojo. That's why the stage was all broken down in KOF '98. He did it again in MOTW.
Rock left Terry because finding his mom was more important to him, and Terry let him go because Terry isn't an overprotective fatherly guy. He treated Rock like an adult, and let him choose his own fate.
I would've wanted to see what happened when Rock did eventually return to Southtown.

That's what I want to know.

It was implied that it was Gato's evil father, especially from the way Gato addresses him. From what I could tell, Gato's evil, evil father was in cahoots with evil, evil Kain. It's been a while since I've seen Gato's ending since I hate that fancy-pants poseur, but that's my recollection.

No, Geese is 100% dead in MOTW. Unfortunately.
Grant is just some freak who likes wearing poofy pants and a cape.

I thought it was especially cool how the ending of REAL BOUT was pretty much the exact same thing as the intro of MOTW. At least he died in style.

The thing is, it wouldn't have been that hard. With MOTW, they started from scratch. New characters, new animation, new backgrounds, new fighting system. If they made a sequel, they could just build on what they have: reuse the existing characters, fine-tune them, give them some new moves, maybe rebalance the way TOP works, and toss in some new characters, like all the ones we've mentioned. It would've been great.

Its a long shot, but i don't think that rock howard is the real son of geese. I would like to see geeses real son in the sequel to MOTW, also i think that kain was holding back so he could pesuade rock to join him, i mean, kain did not look beat'up in the ending, jeez he could still walk about ok. If i wear the designers, then i would make kane as the final boss again, then if you get a decent enough grade, you fight the kain at his full power, then if you beat him with a good grade you have to fight rock howard, looks like geese & is about 23 years old. Basically he's been lying low in the R hein head quarters to work up a reputation & attitude similure to geese. Then geese is reborn again within this character... then everybodys happy again because the bad boy is back in full force. Sort of.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be mean. I just didn't follow you, is all.
I think MOTW's ending left the door open for some definite possibilities.
Kain as a regular playable character, possibly Grant too, though he was supposedly "destroyed" (fell apart at the end).
Rock never actually finding his mother, or finding out she was already dead. He and Terry square off, Rock beats Kain up after he finds out, then wanders off to find his fortune, like Terry did.
Kevin finally catching Freeman.
Gato confronting his father. Hotaru confronting Gato, possibly reuniting. I don't really care what happens to either, since I hate both characters.
Yamazaki appearing as a playable character, approximately 50 years old. Even slower than he was in Fatal Fury (since he's older), just as much of bastard. Could use some of his Wild Ambition/CVS moves.
Ryo appearing as a playable character, approximately 40 years old. Out after Yamazaki for trashing his dojo.
Marco catching Yamazaki and making him pay damages for the dojo.
Andy appearing as a playable character, approximately 30-35 years old. Out to test Hokutomaru's skills.
Kim appearing as a playable character, approximately 40-45 years old, to keep his sons in line, or out after Yamazaki.
That's what I think the sequel suggested. Would've liked to see something like this in a MOTW 2.
