FW 2.81 downgrader.

alright, I just got my 3rd PSP in a recent trade, and i'm wanting to put 3.10 OE-A on this bitch. I'm just not having much luck finding a downgrade method from 2.81 to 1.5. The other 2 I had were 2.70, so it was easy to downgrade them. Is there any way to downgrade my 2.81 w/o having to go out and guy the GTA: VC game?

help a poor soul out :cool:

P.S. google is actually not helping me that much.

Right now, your only way to downgrade requires the ol' GTA. Only 2.80 and below don't need it.

wow, it's still 2.80 and down that don't need GTA. I thought by now 2.81 would have an easy downgrade method. guess i'll have to buy the game then.

Watch out. They've patched the game. You're going to need the version that has 2.00 firmware upgrade on the disc. No easy way to spot it I'm afraid (although if I'm wrong, I wouldn't mind knowing how to spot one).

I'd say try out rental shops. They would most likely have an older copy of LCS (considering they got theirs day one). That's what I'm going to try, anyway.

Just get the 2.0 version of Liberty City Stories. After that, upgrade to 3.03, then downgrade to 1.5. It's worth the 15-20 dollars if you can find it in a store. It'll save you a lot of trouble.
