anybody have a guide for modding a DC controller to work with a NG?
I guess it might be something similar to the Saturn controller mod for NG.
Any info would help :)

if you look closely you can see where I added some color. I think this where I would solder the wires for the buttons. is this correct?

I've hacked up the Mad Catz pad before and used the directions found here:

http://www.darkravenwind.com/cdvision/madcatz.htm

It was pretty straight-forward. I heard that the official controllers are trickier but the same methods would apply...

Thanks for the link!
I figured that was what I had to do. It seems like it will be pretty easy to do. But I cant do anything until the db15 cable arrives.

your best bet is to follow the traces from the buttons to some other solder point in the middle of the pcb. this way you dont have to worry too much about everything fitting together. thats the big problem with doing this kind of pad hack, not a whole lot of room.

id also reccomend, if possible, to cover all your solder joints with hot glue. it takes the stress off the solder and provides a much stronger connection. this is especially good if youre going to have the pad shaking around in your hands.
