First, game shot pics:

The image seems to be kind of "compressed" in the middle and I can't expand it.

Second, the knobs:

I know the V-Pos knob is off, but I can still turn it just fine.

I have no idea what the H-Size one is suppose to look like or how to turn it (if I'm suppose to at all...?)

I'm kind of an idiot about these things, so help me out because I just got this thing today and I'd like to tell the seller it's working fine and these complications were due to my lacking of knowledge (I'd much rather it be that than be it a screwy monitor.)

Looks like some bad caps in the vertical output section. Put in a cap kit and resolder the cracked joints.

I understood about three words in that sentence, so that should offer some perspective about my capacity to actually do what you just said.

Basically, I should have someone look at it who knows what they're doing and contact the seller to let him know everything is not OK?

Thanks for the reply too.

Try adjusting the V-Hold (RHS), if way off alignment it may give that affect.
Otherwise, what chanelmaniac said.
