Just how rare is it? Anyone here own a copy? How often does the game show up online? According to the guide here it is Extremely rare and worth 100-150 (I've heard its gone to 300!)

I've currently located a copy and am hoping to get it (though hopefully not at its full value)

$150 seems to be the going rate for it at this point, looks like you're lucking out with it for $0.99. ;)

I have it. Have no clue how much it's worth. Don't think I'm going to sell it unless someone offers me something worth while. I enjoy it too much. I heard once that cart alone has gone for $130.

I bought it when it first came out. I have no clue what it's worth, but I'm not fixing to sell it.

I'm stuck in a bid war its currently at least 50 bucks and I'm not sure what the other bidders highest amount is so its unlikely it will be any less than market value. Yikes.

I'll be bidding up past $100. The going rate is definitely $150. I'm hoping to get one with the phone card, but I am not in a rush yet.

it only came in cardboard packaging, as did most NGPC games around 2000 that were japanese only.

thanks wasabi. Shame the cardboard stuff just doesn't hold up as well as the snaplocks.

No, I rarely bid until right before the auction end. I have the same username on ebay as I do here.

I also bought it right around release. Never payed much attention to its cost, as well. Then again, I probably have a good collection of games that auction for $100+ due to some kind of rarity status. It's my only copy, so I definitely don't see myself selling it anytime soon.

i have a feeling it won't end below $150.

hell, how long has it been since one of these has been on the bay? and it sold for $300?

i'm sure most of the action will take place in the closing 10sec. ;)

well, I'm not even sure if CFC 2 is worth it. Some of the cardboard only games are, but those would be games you don't need to know Japanese to play and enjoy beyond a sense of ritual completion.

The cardboard games only get harder to take care later on the NGPC timeline too. Many of the japanese only ones don't have the clamshell cardboard cases, but boxes similar to the ones used in GBA games. Those games I'd open once to get the game out and then try my best to never tamper with the box again...

True...or just take the cart out and leave it out in its protective clear case that way you don't have to revisit the box again. I do think the game's worth it but feel that there are a few others that are much more rare but this one has more foreign appeal to it than those.

I'm not that adverse to the boxes, although the snapcases are admittedly cooler. I do keep my boxes in clear resealable bags just to protect them from shelf wear and that's as anal as I get with them...which some would probably think is over the top.

CFC2 has a lot of demand. The game (and gamers) totally got screwed by not getting a US release.

Yes a US release would be great. All this neo stuff could come in handy as I begin studying japanese. And I should be able to play it regardless of understanding.

Once it goes past 150 I'm out

What people want for a game has little to do with what it will normally sell for, or what it is worth.

I sold one at $150 (Buy It Now) 6 months ago and the auction was gone in a second. I didn't expect it has such a high demand.

There is an almost proper complete English translation of CFC2 out there, used to hammer it to death on my flash cart...
