Vertical Hold Issues?

I'm going to be getting a free Jamma cab "Golden Tee" (98?) in supposedly really good condition, except for a video issue.

They guy got married and has no time or space for it.

He was gonna give it to his dad, but when they turned it on after being in storage, the vertical hold isn't working. So I get it for free.

On a standard Jamma cab is there a video adjustment baord to the side like on a Neo Geo? Or would the pot be on the back of the monitor somewhere?

I'm guessing I can test the board on my D-Lite supergun, but might need to add a power supply if this is one of those games with a hard drive.

If it's not an adjustment or board...would re-capping the monitor fix the vertical hold issue? Since it's beeen sitting for sometime i figured it might be a capacitor issue?

Basically, what should i look for and how to test?

Thanks!

It's a JAMMA board. Hook up a different game board to the cab to verify the monitor.

Also, if it is GT98 it won't have a hard drive. The newer versions of the game do IIRC. Just be aware that GT98 won't work with your supergun controls. It takes a trackball.

hook ups

The only other boards I have are 6 slot Neo Geo.
Would those work for testing the Jamma cab monitor?

Hmmm...would a standard Jamma cab have enough power for a 6 slot board?

As for Golden Tee and supergun, I was hoping to just see if the picture was steady or not, not play (unless I end up having to pull the board and controls out of the cab and make a "portable box" which would then hook to the supergun...but that could get awkward).

Thanks!
