I have one MVS cart that rattles like crazy. It works fine for the most part but becuase it is so loose, I have to re insert it a few times to get it connected in my cab.

Is there a good fix for something like this? I took off the shell but I am not sure what I would do to tighten it up without screwing it up.

I have a lot of MVS carts and a few of them are loose but his one is really bad. Not a huge deal, just kind of bothers me.

Is it a bootleg

Really? The boards have SNK all over them and they look like the real deal.

I have a League Bowling that is a legit cart that rattles as well. No where near as bad as this cart though.

I guess I wasn't really questioning if it was a legit cart, since the high ranking member (here) that sold it to me said that it was. I was mainly just looking to see if there was a fix for a cart with loose boards?

He was asking if it was a bootleg. I'm guessing because some bootlegs may have small pcbs or large cases. But anyhow the only thing you can do is try to snug it up and get the carts to not rattle on the plastic pegs. Or buy a replacement cart. I've got a few extra replacement carts i bought from southtown a few months ago. I've already replaced the cart to one of my games. But anyhow unless you can get one of those other cases you have to fit. Anyhow good luck.

Thanks...I can't fucking read for some reason. I read it instead of is and it changed the whole sentence:tickled: I wondered how he knew that without looking at it.

No, it is not a boot but I don't know if the case is the original or not. The label is a fake but I knew that when I bought it.

I just played all the way through the game, so it works perfectly, so I guess I won't worry about it. Maybe I will look at picking up an empty case.

Thanks...

Sometimes one of the tabs on the inside (there are like 4 that hold the boards in place) will break and you'll get something like that. I was going to suggest one of the clear shells Southtown was selling as a replacement but I can't find them on there anymore. I guess they must've sold them all.

Someone has to but I don't know who. I ended up with a couple of boots off Ebay and the cases where brand new. Both cases were nice but the texture was different from the normal case.

I have a few of those myself. I actually prefer them to the original cases as they seem a bit more scratch resistant and sturdier overall.

Anyone have some info? It would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking i got them from southtown but i just remembered he ran out just before i was going to place an order so i had to source them elsewhere. Anyhow hope that helps. Also the price on them is very reasonable, i picked up a few extra just cuz ;)

Thanks, I'll get in touch with him.

They are the thick black carts with the slightly rough texture right?

Actually though, i do have a few games with that kind of cart on them and they are nice. If you ever do find a source for the black plastic ones let me know, i'll take a few.

Just like xmods said, you can buy a replacement shell if you're not worried about the label or what I do sometimes is I put a little dab of hot glue on the corners that lay on the posts.
