Tales of Phantasia GBA

Been on a GBA purchase spree lately. Fry's has so many games on clearance I haven't been able to control myself.

So, I grabbed Tales of Phantasia....just cuz I've played both Summon Night games and wanted to give this one a try. NOT BAD! The combat isn't nearly as fun as Summon Night, but its still fun. I dig the style and polish on this one. Really takes me back to SNES times, which is a good thing.

Anyone play through the whole thing? How long did it take and also does it get retardedly difficult or frustrating?

Played thru the translated rom. Excellent game for the time. I recommend that you stick with it.

cool. Yeah, the thing I like most so far, is the story is unusually coherent for a J-RPG. Anxious for lunch to come around so I can play some more.

I remember a line in the DeJap translation of the game: "I bet she fucks like a tiger." Or something to that effect when Cless and the other guy are speaking of Arche on the boat.

5 and a half hours in. This game is fantastic. Definitely filling the void in my soul left after finishing both Summon Night games.

I got stuck on the snes version after you got the flying things.

I was thinking of picking this one up as well. I also own Tales of Destiny 1 on the PSX and I really like that game. This one should be comparable.
