Red Blood for SS4

I really want Samurai Showdown 4 but don't know if I need the Engrish or Japanese version. I have an english SS2 and to get blood just change language to japanese and then back to english. On SS1 I just played in Japanese(I can't remember if the same trick worked as I no longer have my American cart) to get the red blood. I have a japanese version of SS3 and NOTHING I can do seems to make the blood red. Tried language trick and pressing all 4 buttons at options. I was just wondering on SS4 because I have an American system and want to get one that will give me red blood. Thanks guys!

You need a japanese or a mod System, or the blood is white instead of red and no "funny fatalities"!

So it wouldn't matter if I had an American or Japanese cart, the blood would still be white on an American system? Is there no code? I don't trust myself to operate on my old love. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Nope, the games play in the language of the system. So if you have a US Sam Sho 4 and a Jap system, it plays Jap.

Get a mod. It will make you happy. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I guess I'll have to get a mod. My mother-in-law is pretty good a soldering. So it doesn't matter which version I go with? I have an American system and would like an American cart but Japanese carts seem more plentiful. Samurai Showdown doesn't feel right with white blood. So there is no way for sure to get red blood on an American system without a mod,huh? I guess I'll have to put her under...(saying a prayer) Thanks guys!

Heh. You'll need solder, a soldering iron, a wire cutter (you'll have to cut a pin from a chip on the board), and that's it. Took me more time to open the neogeo than to mod it.

You're mom in law is about to get an easy job.

I think the code for SS4, you have to hold the start button when going in to options, then hit all 4 buttons at exit.

Can't u do the thing like u do on the CD on press ABCD on the exit in options? it works on Cd try it on AES!!

yep. that works for SS4.

but not on SS3.

And it's a bitch to pull off consistently, believe it or not.

Howdy folks, in my experience, there is no way to get blood in SS4 US. I have a AES w/ a debug mod, and my US copy of SS4 has no red blood (it has white blood). The code doesn't do it, the country settings don't change the blood, nothing seems to do it.. Unless I'm doing something completely wrong, I don't think there is a way to get red blood in the US SS4. Just my 2¢-GP
