Please don't think View Point is a $245 dollar MVS cart... One auction with a bunch of clueless bidders does not make the market. Anyway, good luck with your trade.
View Point's certainly a fantastic game.

I sold a nice minty VP cart to a member here for much less than that.

Afterall, this is NG.com...not Ebay.

And no, VP isn't t3h r4r3.

$245 + 8.50 for parcel post shipping. My trade on the other hand includes Priority Mail shipping ;)

Then why is he bidding on another copy?

Nothing to hurt your sale because all of the games you listed are about equivalent value as View Point, except SSVS, but I'll believe that auction when I see positive feedback from the seller.

I paid much less than that for a great condition JP homecart. Unless that's a NOS kit, you're asking WAY too much.

Look i'm trying to trade the cart not sell it. I didn't state that i believe my cart was worth $250 dollars i simply stated a recent auction at ebay. Someone asked me to post the link and i did. Now you all want to bash me for this? I just want to trade, but now i seriously doubt anyone would make an offer after the bs thats been posted in this thread.

That AeroFighters 3 for $115 seems a bit rich too

What does that have to do with my viewpoint cart i'm trying to trade? I'm not selling an aerofighters 3 cart so i have no idea where you got that from. Please read MY thread before posting.

I'm not selling the cart, where do you see that i want someone to pay that much for the cart?? Why all the attacks? I'm just trying to trade a cart i BOUGHT from dubdubdub about 2 weeks ago. It should be worth the same value as some of the games on my list, if not then fine, just leave this thread alone, theres no reason to post negative remarks.

Who is bidding on another copy? The winner or the seller? If you are talking about the seller then i'm assuming its cuz his listings are fetching $245 a copy. If you are talking about the buyer then i have no idea why. I have no idea why someone agreed to pay $245 or why 2 people must have been willing to pay close to that for the bidding to get up that high. All i know is i bid about $65 on it and didn't even come close to winning. I then bought a copy off dubdubdub and am just trying to trade it. I have no idea why i'm being attacked by so many people when all i'm trying to do is trade 1 cart for 1 cart on my list, nothing more. I even have positive feedback so its not like i'm trying to scam anyone. Whats the deal?

xmods, I think people are questioning this because you mentioned that they have been selling for $240+, and they assume you are implying that you want the items you trade for to come close to this value since you mentioned it in the first place.

The best thing for you to do would be to start a new thread without mentioning what one ridiculous auction went for. We all know eBay is not a reliable source for market value.

Good luck with your trade!

ebay is not a reliable source for market value? Umm am i missing something? How many carts are listed here vs ebay? Yes ebay does determine the market value as far as 75-80% of the neo community is concerned. However 1 listing does not determine the market value, that you could have said and gotten away with. A wiseman once told me "The value of something is only what someone will pay for it." The only reason i listed that auction is because i don't want people to make the arguement that some of the games are way out of its realm of reality. Either there would be a bunch of posts in here telling me the game isn't worth what bang bead or sam sho 5 special is worth, which i do have 1 post saying something similar, or there'd be posts saying the listing was false which is why i had asked for people to pm me for the link to the auction listing in the first place. But anyhow it makes no difference now. I'll prolly just put it up on ebay in a week or so, but i appreciate all you guys ruining this thread for me. Thanks

Actually just another point. The mvs priceguide was only designed to be used as a rough estimate of what the highs and lows for the buying and selling prices of the particular mvs carts (most of which are on ebay). The priceguide hasn't been updated for quite sometime and is pretty off on some items such as magical drop 3. The priceguide says $50-60 yet i'd be suprised if you found even the japanese copy for less then 90-100. The same goes for baseball stars 2 and several other games. Just try and find a mvs copy of sengoku 2 for example. The priceguide says $100 but i'd be willing to bet you could get alot more for it. The priceguide is ok for a rough guide but its not the final word on "value" of an mvs cart by any means.

To be fair, xmods stated "I've seen this game for 240+ in the past two weeks on Ebay". He then states that he will provide a link via PM.

I don't see a problem with that statement. Most of us are smart enough to know that one Ebay auction or even a few, don't determine market value for the MVS. (Especially for those of us that buy here on this site from each other) He was looking to trade the game, not sell it.

Ebay is filled with fake accounts that bid up items way past "real" amounts. I find the MVS price guide to be pretty worthless as well. I really am not sure how you can have an acurate (up to date) price guide for MVS games.

This is why I hate all of the MVS for sale topics that don't list prices. People don't want to be low balled but there really isn't a great guide line of what to offer someone.

I know what I am willing to pay for a game and am usually willing to go up a little. If someone wants to sell a viewpoint on Ebay for $240, I will gladly laugh my ass off at the buyer. However, I think it is more likely that he had someone bid it up for him.

No one in their right mind is going to trade you flat out a Neo Mr. DO, Bang Bead, SSVS etc.. for viewpoint.

Yet you rip into people who talk about buying homecarts because it's expensive and here you are asking an arm and a leg for a MVS cart. You whine about people "duping" you and noobs into homecarts, yet here you are trying to unload a game for much more than it's worth. Pot kettle black my friend.

First of all, how do you know i was asking to trade even up? I was asking to trade and if the person interested in trading wanted more, then thats fine, but the carts i listed is what i want.(in general) For example if someone came to me with baseball stars 2 and wanted to trade i would have to refuse because i already own that game. I'm not sure how much simplier i can put this but if you still don't understand the concept then let me know and i'll use smaller words if that helps.

:spock:

Your first post is pretty self explanatory.

Hi, I have a viewpoint MVS that I want to trade. It's teh rare, and I've seen it for $240 bucks (I've got proof from ebay)

I want:

*list of expensive MVS carts that are worth more than cart you are offering.

no where do you state that you are offering more carts for trade, or acknowledge that your cart is worth less than your wanted titles.

Just because you modded yourself a 2 slot doesn't automatically make you an expert when it comes to the prices of MVS carts vs the senior members who have been posting in this thread.

Oh but having completed 2 trades DOES make you an expert? LOL

That's the lamest retort imaginable.

You don't think there was time before the trader rating got instituted?

I've dealt with plenty of people, and in person. So get off your high horse.

If you have a problem then leave this thread. Noone asked you to be here. In fact i would much rather you did not reply to any of my posts again, but i can't control what you do, so i'm sure you will continue to be a troll.
