Consolizing an MV1-FZ, where to put Neobitz?

Where do you guys put your video encoder when consolizing one of these??? Help me out here. :buttrock: Not enough room between the plastic case underneath and the PCB.

Should be enough room, if you want to save space with the Neobitz you can remove the headers and solder the input and output wires directly to the board.

i think thats what I am gonna' have to do.

Just bend the pins 90 degrees, don't break em off or solder direct to the PCB unless you absolutely have to.

I mount the Neobitz-S to the bottom side of the MVS housing. If you would like a picture, I can email you one showing how I mount it.

This leaves just enough room with the connectors.

yes and no. I may have to mount it on the bottom....but then I will have to have it sit higher than I would like. Or, I solder to the pins....or I try bending the plugs...which, for some reason, makes me really nervous and I don't want to try that.

I see no other solutions though. I don't really want an external project box on the back either.

Do you have a picture of the space between the plastic and PCB? Jeff said it fits, did you try installing it upside down?
