Real name

Mounir Serhani (although the paypal recipient was Samia Serhani)

Now to be fair I only got home an hour or so ago and checked the cart out. I of course instantly emailed the seller and have yet to hear back.

So perhaps I am being premature in the scammer tag. After all perhaps the seller didn't realise it was a conversion etc. Perhaps the seller will sort it all out without a fuss etc.

But then again I haven't seen many flying pigs recently. Last time I bothered to look there weren't pots of gold at the end of a rainbow.

I've already cancelled the debit from my bank, filed a paypal dispute, and called paypal to make them aware of this (so they don't try and fuck my account around wanting their $700 that they've paid this scum) so I think I'm sorted. Hell even if things do go tits up for me I happen to work at one of the largest international law firms in the world..so tbh I'm covered whatever happens.

So this is not a sympathy drive. Its just a heads up to you guys to avoid this tosser.

I'll refrain from posting his personal info for now, name aside..I must at least give him some time to respond to me (if he chooses to of course). But if he doesn't get in touch asap you'll know who is he, where he lives, his number etc.

Juicy update in the other thread!

It appears the seller advertised and photographed a legit copy in the auction, but sent me a conversion instead! (the itme I received being a confirmed conversion..and not waht was pictured in the auction)

So despite his protestations of innocence (he says he must have bought a conversion) it appears he is just a plain nasty scammer who has tried to lie his way out of it!

Just a quick update to put the matter on record.

I have received a full refund from the seller (or rather it appears to be an associate of the seller) for the transaction. I will now be callling paypal to see how to get them the money/how to sort out the financial details of this transaction.

Once this is done the item will be sent back to the seller.

EDIT TIME

An associate of the seller has sent me the auction moneys (meant as a refund but not refunded using the refund tab due to the seller's paypal account issues).

As I had cancelled my direct debit payment from my bank (previously advised to and recorded by paypal) I called paypal to seek their advice.

I was told the best way to end the issues is the following, which I will now do.

1) Close dispute - done
2) Contact my bank to update them- done
3) Leave the received (refund) monies in my paypal account - done
4) As the dispute will be closed paypal will then reinitiate the payment from my bank
5) As this will be denied paypal will take the money from my paypal balance (the money being the money sent to me as a refund).

6) This will leave my paypal account in a slightly negative situation (due to fees incurred from the refund payment not sent via the refund tab)
7) I can then clear this small megative balance and take steps to reattach my bank account to my paypal account.

Matter solved!

I am advised that steps 1-5 will take approximately 3-4 days. Once steps 1-5 have completed (ie all financial aspects of this deal as between me and the seller) I will return the item to the seller. (and sort out 6 and 7 in my own time)
