pulling off moves. Which game's the most forgiving? Which is the most strict?

Okay, I made that post a little while ago about getting used to the joystick and trying to stay away from pads. It's frustrating since I'm so good with pads, but want to play the way the games were meant to be played.

KOF and some of those damn double fireballs give me such a hard time. I have to do them pretty slow to come out, which defeats the stupid purpose. Overall I can pull off most of them all day long (dragon punches, half circles, and most non-double fireball specials).

So, I played some Last Blade. What the hell? These are the same moves, but easier to pull off. What the hell?

So I ask: Which games flat out demand you do the exact motion, and which are a bit easier. I know that KOF 98 is pretty strict. So, what games are easier? And I have to ask, where does Garou: MOTW stand? Is it demanding like KOF, or no?

Thanks,
Spike

Mortal Kombat I'm cool with.
CVS2 seems like a pain in the ass at times--pulling off some of Mai's in air supers is damn next to impossible for me. Even when jumping off the wall.. Heh.

not really. garou to me has the smoothest control ( you can feel the softness you can't find in any game ) and as for kof98, easier than most too.

Most forgiving: half circle motions in KoF '97
Most strict: quarter circle motions in KoF '97

What the hell happened there... Down-Back, Forward counts as a half-circle?

Ah yes, KOF97 and those "shortcuts". Not all half circles have shortcuts, so be aware.

MOTW's moves are quite forgiving as well as SF3.But in CvS2,the timing seems very strict.

SS4 is the most forgiving! It is even to forgiving.

For example if you go forward and want to do a projectile move with qcf+button, it will end up in an dp move. So it is too forgivable in dp moves.

KoF96 is the most unforgiveable. It wants exact joypad motions!

IMHO,
Once you get used to them, all Neo games are pretty forgiving, but:

Most strict - Fatal Fury. Qcf have to be so done sssssooooo ssslllooowwwlllyyy.
Most forgiving - RB2. Moves just fall off your fingers.

Yes Spike, even I, the man who HATES Garou, will admit that the supers come out quite nicely. However, many of my friends have trouble with the 2Qcf S Pow/P Pow moves in that loathsome game.

SS4 was actually a little sloppy. Try this: using ukyo, connect on a sasame yuki, when the opponent rises, have another sasame yuki waiting.

The combo meter keeps going.

What gives ???

and no, this isn't a korean version thing.

MotW has been a little forgiving all around, but not with charge D,U actions (kain especially)... Not sure if that's "forgiving" I think the control is just good.

Want too damn disgustingly forgiving? Last Blade on the neogeo pocket.

Unforgiving? Gowcaiser. Fatal Fury Special. Art of Fighting 2.
