Sounds like this will be an amazing tournament. Too bad I'm out on the east cost.

Any members here plan to attend? If so, I demand videos/pictures galore upon your return.:glee:

KoF 2002 will be in MVS
Marvel will be in DC
KoF XI will be in PS2

if Chaos and MOTW get enough people it will be on MVS.

so, it's a mix between MVS, PS2, and DC....

whoa, $3000?

That is an insane amount of pay for winning a game.

Prizes are so good is even hard to believe....

I would like some more info about who is organizing this, etc... And what does the "70%", etc, mean? Thanks.

Most likely percentages of first prize money.
Like, if first place for MVC2 is 1K, then fourth place is just a Ben Franklin.

No, check this out.

KOF 2002
1st Place:$3000 USD
2nd Place: 70%
3rd Place: 20%
4th Place: 10%

the percentage of the 2nd to 4th places come from the registration fees. It's not relative to 1st place's 3 Grand.

Forgot to mention, I'm gonna be giving away 10 DVDs from last year's tournament (Deadly Rave 06) here. Later this month.

So, be prepared....

then after that, i might just ask for shipping, even then, i doubt it. I might just give away another set, but just look FWD to it.

Too bad I don't live in the capital and I'm up way north. I would have to pull a 10-12 hour road trip to assist, and I can't due to my job.

Sorry, :P

Who is funding the 1st place prize many?

I assume it isnt from money gained from sales since that is were the percentage winings would be coming from.

funding is not relative to the eaernings for 1st place. It's a mix of what we the staff came up with to offer. that's it pretty simple really.

All I can say is Jeff is a great guy and has put an ass ton of work into this tourney...If I could talk my wife into letting me go to Mexico by myself I'd be there in a heart beat just to watch. Bring back lots of pics and hook me up with some DVD's.
